Women’s center seeks tributes to honor men

In honor of June 18, Father’s Day, the Men’s Task Force of the Women’s Center of Monmouth County (WCMC) is asking individuals to honor the men in their lives. In a special card campaign, the men from the Men’s Task Force invite area residents to submit a donation of $25 or more in the name of the male to be honored. The special Father’s Day contribution will pay tribute to the honoree, but will ensure funding for the programs which provide counseling to families affected by domestic violence.

Formed in October 1997, the task force is comprised of nearly 30 men, dedicated to raising public awareness about how men can speak out against family violence. Checks should be addressed to: WCMC, 1 Bethany Road, Building 3, Suite 42, Hazlet 07730. For more information, call Lori Sadwith at (732) 264-9114.
