Police Beat Police reported that sometime prior to 6:04 a.m. on June 20, someone keyed a car parked on Main Street. Police arrested three Union Beach juveniles at 7:51 p.m. on June 18 after they entered a vacant building in the Aeromarine Terminal on Locust Street. The juveniles were charged with burglary, criminal trespassing and possession of a controlled dangerous substance. Police reported that sometime prior to 5:12 p.m. on June 18, someone spray-painted graffiti on the back of a Cass Street residence. The home is located adjacent to the Henry Hudson Trail. Police reported that sometime prior to 7:47 p.m. on June 16 someone stole a yellow wheelbarrow from the yard of a Broad Street residence. Police arrested Elizabeth E. Kammerer, 27, of 3 Atlantic Ave., Matawan, on June 20 at 4:59 p.m. and charged her with hindering prosecution, driving with a suspended license and disorderly conduct. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop which took place at Kohl’s Plaza on Route 35. Police arrested Michael Bovo, 37, of Hazel Place, Hazlet, on June 18 at 2:24 a.m. and charged him with driving while intoxicated. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop which took place on Holmdel Road. Police arrested Timothy Brown, 23, of Fleet Avenue, Edison, on June 18 at 2:40 a.m. and charged him with driving while intoxicated. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop which took place at Holmdel Towne Center on Route 35. Police arrested a 17-year-old female at Holmdel High School on June 16 at 12:21 p.m. and charged her with possession of marijuana under 50 grams. The juvenile was released to the custody of her mother. Police arrested four people at the Holmdel Motor Inn, Route 35, at 11:48 p.m. June 18 and charged them with possession of marijuana and cocaine. Those arrested were: Joseph Kenney, 25, of Front Street, Union Beach; Juan Sanchez, 22, of Highland Boulevard, Keansburg; Melissa Miller, 21, of Highland Boulevard, Keansburg; and Davanna Dressler, 20, of Hyland Avenue, Keansburg. The arrest took place at the Holmdel Motor Inn on Route 35. On June 20 at 5:41 p.m., at the Lake Lefferts Recreation Area on Ravine Drive, police reported broken glass was found all over the area. Lights were ripped off the recreation building. A lock was placed on the gate to deter further vandalism. The owner of Matawan Wine & Liquors, Main Street, reported on June 17 at 10:22 a.m. that an unknown person stole $600 from a back room. Police reported on June 16 at 11:14 a.m. a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Route 34 and Broad Street involving a borough woman and a Princeton man. Both refused medical attention. Police arrested Jeremiah Hawes, 18, of North Carolina, at 1:59 a.m. on June 22 for driving while intoxicated following a traffic stop on Route 36. Police arrested John Poukish III, 46, of Broadmoor Drive, at 10:03 p.m. on June 16 for driving while intoxicated following a traffic stop in front of his house. |
