Obituaries RUTH MARY McCAFFERTY HORIN, 77, of the Laurence Harbor section of Middletown, died July 2 at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. Born in Newark, she lived in Springfield before moving to Laurence Harbor over 50 years ago. She was a communicant of Community Covenant Church, Laurence Harbor, and a member of the Laurence Harbor Senior Citizens. She is survived by her husband, Philip Horin of Laurence Harbor; a son, Philip Horin of Cranbury; a daughter, Jeanmarie Stout of Lincoln University, Pa.; and three grandchildren. Services were under the direction of The Gundrum Service Home for Funerals, South Amboy. A Mass was celebrated at Community Covenant Church, and burial was at Christ Church Cemetery, South Amboy. Born in Hoboken, she lived there until moving to Middletown 50 years ago. She was a housewife, and a communicant of King of Kings Lutheran Church, Middletown. TERESA O’BRIEN BRODERICK, 59, of Hazlet, died July 5 at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. Born in County Leitrim, Ireland, she lived in Brooklyn, N.Y., before moving to Hazlet 30 years ago. She was a private home health aide for the past 20 years. She was a communicant of Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, Union Beach, as well as a lector and member of the church choir. She was a member of the Irish Federation of Monmouth County. She was predeceased by a son, Gerard Broderick, in 1982. She is survived by her husband, John Broderick; a daughter, Karen Colangelo of Hazlet; a son, John Broderick Jr. of New York City; a brother, Francis O’Brien of Brooklyn; two sisters, Mary O’Brien Puckhaber of Howard Beach, N.Y., and Agnes O’Brien of Chandler, Ireland; and four grandchildren. DENNIS REINHOLD, 69, of the Belford section of Middletown, died July 8 at New York University Hospital, Cornell Medical Center. Born in Union Beach, she lived in Belford since 1953. She was a bookkeeper for Navesink Country Club for 21 years before retiring in 1997. She was a communicant of St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, New Monmouth, and a volunteer with the American Red Cross, Shrewsbury. She was the founding treasurer for the Bayshore Youth Athletic League, Middletown. She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Paul E. Reinhold Jr.; a son and daughter-in-law, Paul E. and Robin W. MATILDA LA MANNA CATUSCO, 85, of Spotswood died July 4 in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge division. Her husband, Ernest Catusco, died in 1957. LEWIS, 64, of Maui, Hawaii, died July 9 at Jersey Shore Medical Center, Neptune. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he lived in Matawan 30 years before moving to Hawaii 2 1/2 years ago. He was the New England branch manager for 20th Century Fox. He is survived by his wife, Joan Lewis; two sons, William and daughter-in-law Maria Lewis of Manalapan, and John Lewis of Bend, Ore.; a daughter, Dawn Lewis of San Francisco, Calif.; a brother, Alvin Lee of Las Vegas, Nev.; and three grandchildren. KEVIN MICHAEL KEHOE, 54, of the Belford section of Middletown, died July 4 at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. Born in the Bronx, N.Y., he lived in Brooklyn before moving to Belford 24 years ago. He was a vice president of insurance for Ducanson and Holt, Wayne, for 15 years. He served in the U.S. Marine Reserve, and was a member of the Knights of Columbus Vince Lombardi Chapter, the Leonardo section of Middletown. He was predeceased by a sister, Patricia Casey. He is survived by his wife, Barbara McAndrew Kehoe; a son, Patrick S. Kehoe of the Belford section of Middletown; two daughters, Stacey and Shannon Kehoe, both of Belford; a sister, Joan Yockel of Worthington, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews. OVERTON MORSE, 85, of Keyport died July 12 at Meridian Health Care Center, Red Bank. Born in the Port Monmouth section of Middletown, she lived most of her life in Keyport. She was a school nurse for the Keyport Board of Education for 20 years, before retiring in 1981. Prior to that, she was a register nurse at Perth Amboy General Hospital. She was a communicant of Calvary Methodist Church in Keyport. She was a life member of the Keyport Yacht Club, as well as a member of the Bayshore Hospital Auxiliary. She was predeceased by her husband, E. Ivins Morse, in 1990. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, George I. and Barbara Morse of Pocono Lake, Pa., and Robert E. and Mary Morse of Barnegat; two daughters and sons-in-law, Betty Greene of Charlottesville, Va., and Malbone W. JAMES J. FINKEL, 47, of Middletown died July 14 at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. Born in Jersey City, he previously lived in North Bergen before relocating to Middletown 13 years ago. He was an auto mechanic for Hazlet Township for 30 years upon retirement in 1986. He was a life member of the Hazlet Fire Department. He was predeceased by his wife, Margaret Creevy, in 1992.
