Bulletin Board The Middletown Township Public Library will present the free discussion "How to Live the Good Life," Sept. 21 at 7:30 p.m. Dr. Arthur Levine, Family Chiropractic Center, Shrewsbury, will cover changing attitudes to heal diseases, reducing nerve interference to help healing, and exercises and visualization techniques to help healing. The library will present a "College Funding Workshop," Sept. 27 at 7:30 p.m., with speaker Chuck Drawbaugh of College Funding Associates in Red Bank. The free workshop is intended as an overview of the financial aid application process, and a chance to share ideas crucial to helping parents maximize their financial aid eligibility. The library will also present a free travel slide show on Turkey Sept. 28 at 7:30 p.m., with guest speaker Peter J. Koelsch. All programs will be at the library at 55 New Monmouth Road in Middletown. St. Catherine’s Church to host circus St. Catherine’s Holy Name Society, Middletown, will sponsor "Vidbel’s Olde Tyme Circus," featuring Susan Vidbel, on Sept. 21 at 5:15 and 7:30 p.m. This is the 17th annual tour of the circus, which takes place at St. Catherine’s Church grounds on Shore Acres Avenue. Tickets are $7 in advance, and $8 on day of the show. The circus is a fund-raiser for the church and features such acts as the "Ryjkov Duo" plate spinners from Russia, "Crazy Comedy Clowns," "Mr. Alex on the Washington Trapeze," and other entertainment, presented by the ringmaster with live music. Monmouth offers free composting workshops Monmouth County is offering free composting workshops Sept. 23 and Nov. 4 at 10 a.m. The workshops will be at Deep Cut Gardens, 252 Red Hill Road in Middletown. Individuals interested in buying a compost bin at a discounted fee may choose from the "Earth Machine" ($25) or the "Handy Composter" ($10). There is a limit of one per household. Include name, address, home phone, and date and time of workshop. Checks for compost bins must be made payable to: Monmouth County Grant Fund.
