Couple thankful for parkway good Samaritan
 

I am writing this letter of thanks to the young man who stopped on the Garden State Parkway Tuesday, Aug. 29, to help my husband and I fix a tire blowout we had. Knowing my husband recently lost his leg, I knew we were stuck.

With no cell phone, we were at the mercy of the parkway and its speeding cars. Thinking people never stop any more to help, we were surprised when a young man in a red car pulled over right away. We had only been there about 10 minutes when he stopped to offer help. He used all of his own tools to fix the tire and had a brief conversation with my husband. He changed the tire and wouldn’t accept anything for it. This letter is so I can tell everyone how much my husband and I are thankful to him. The kindness he showed us was more than expected from a complete stranger. Thank you.
