Matawan commission meetings announced

The Matawan Shade Tree Commission will meet at 5 p.m. on the second Tuesday of each month, February-December.

The Matawan Environmental Commis-sion will hold its meetings at 6 p.m. on the second Tuesday of each month, February-December.

Meetings for both commissions take place at the Matawan Municipal Community Center, 201 Broad St., Matawan.

Beth Ahm ‘Winter Sale’ scheduled for Jan. 23

The Sisterhood of Temple Beth Ahm will hold its annual Winter Rummage Sale Jan. 23 from 5:30-8:30 p.m. and Jan. 24 from 9 a.m. to noon. The sale will be at the temple at 550 Lloyd Road, Aberdeen. For more information, call the temple at (732) 583-1700.

Matawan-Aberdeen library to host workshop

The Matawan Aberdeen Public Library will host a retirement planning seminar on Jan. 24 at 7 p.m. The free seminar will be at the library at 165 Main St., Matawan.

American Express financial adviser Scott Barrington will discuss how to determine what resources attendees may want in retirement, and how to make the best use of Social Security benefits.
