Yard sale, auction to benefit leukemia victim

A four-week garage sale/auction is scheduled for early August at the home of Hazlet resident Scott Devlin, with partial proceeds to benefit Holy Family Church, Hazlet.

Devlin is a victim of ITP leukemia and is confined to a wheelchair. He exists on approximately $900 a month, and is the father of an 11-year-old daughter and infant son. His sale will also feature a 50/50, with proceeds to benefit Holy Family Church; and a Chinese auction, with partial proceeds to benefit the ITP Foundation.

Items to be included in the sale are baseball cards, 9,000 CDs, jewelry, original Beanie Babies, new cameras, computer hardware, and antique furniture. Items will be given away at the event as well.
