Hearing tonight on pharmacy addition

HOLMDEL — The Zoning Board is scheduled to hold a public hearing tonight on an application to add a two-story, 8,000-square-foot addition to the Holmdel Village Pharmacy at 969 Holmdel Road.

The first floor of the new addition would be occupied by Holmdel Village Pharmacy and the second story and existing two-story building would house offices. A 11/2-story dwelling and frame garage would be removed to make way for the addition behind the existing two-story building.

The proposal includes a 21-space parking lot. The property is in the Neighborhood Village Business District Zone and includes lots 24, 25 and 26 in Block 11.01.

There will also be a continued public hearing on an application to build a 3,669-square-foot Commerce Bank at Laurel Avenue and Route 35, with four drive-through lanes and 45 parking spaces. The meeting will take place at 8 p.m. at town hall.
