Elks Lodge appreciative of blood drive support

The Middletown Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks Lodge No. 2179 would like to thank all the people who offered to donate their blood at the blood drive sponsored recently by the Lodge. With the assistance of the Central Jersey Blood Center, donors provided 39 pints of badly needed blood, double the amount donated at the Lodge’s blood drive last year. Middletown Elks and their families and friends got together to do what they having been doing best for 41 years — volunteering their time and energy to support the community. During the day, volunteers served free lunch to blood donors and handed out free, patriotic T-shirts while the professionals from the Central Jersey Blood Center handled the flow of donors expertly and efficiently. Once again, I would like to thank all who donated their time and their blood, making the blood drive a great success this year. I am proud of each and every one of them.
