Education foundation slates dinner-dance

Tickets are now available for the Middletown Township Education Foundation’s (MTEF) 15th annual dinner-dance and auction, "Renaissance to Rockets," March 1 at 7 p.m. at Gibbs Hall, Fort Monmouth. Tickets are $75 per person, with proceeds benefiting education grants.

The event will feature a cash bar, dinner, dancing, music performed by FATE, and various auctions. Auction prizes include a guitar autographed and donated by Jon Bon Jovi, resort accommodations, and gift baskets.

Vietnam slide show, history lecture Jan. 18

The New Jersey Vietnam Veterans Memorial Foundation will host a slide show and oral history discussion Jan. 18 at 1 p.m. at the Vietnam Era Education Center, Holmdel.

"The Proud Americans: Heavy Artillery in the Vietnam War" will be given by members of the Proud Americans Association. The panel will be led by Bill Van Eck, Clifton, recently awarded the Bronze Star medal for heroism in Vietnam.

A $5 per person donation is suggested, and attendees are asked to R.S.V.P.
