Volunteers sought for Downtown Matawan fete

The Downtown Matawan Alliance (DMA) and the Borough of Matawan Police Department will host the seventh annual Downtown Matawan Celebration Aug. 5 from 7-10 p.m.

Volunteers and sponsors are now being sought for the event, to be held along Main Street from Veterans Memorial Park to Park Avenue.

The evening of musical entertainment, food, clowns, contests and other events is being held to coincide with the National Night Out Against Crime. The co-producer is Sultan’s Palace, Matawan, and co-sponsors are Madison Center-Genesis ElderCare Network and Community Bank of Matawan.
