Residents thanked for supporting fireworks display The Hazlet Recreation Commission would like to thank the residents for their support of our annual fireworks display. We pay for this display entirely through fund-raising and donations. This year’s fireworks cost $12,500, and money was generated through: $5,500 from the 2002 circus, a $1,200 donation from the Hazlet Democrats horseshoe tournament, and $1,899 from raffle sales at the fireworks. The balance was paid through various other recreation programs. We thank everyone for their generosity and look forward to the continued support of the community and any groups or companies that would like to sponsor our 2004 display.
