Battle of Monmouth talk slated for Oct. 5 The Keyport Historical Society will present "Battle of Monmouth, Molly Pitcher and 42nd Highlanders" by Dan Silivich Oct. 5 at 8 p.m. at the Steamboat Dock Museum, Broad Street, Keyport. A presentation about the Battle of Monmouth will be given, followed by light desserts and refreshments. The society’s seventh annual Victorian tea and fashion show "If Teacups Could Talk" will be held Oct. 25 from 1-4 p.m. at The Keyport Yacht Club, 115 First St. Vintage clothing will be modeled by the Keyport Performing Arts Ensemble. Guests are encouraged to dress up in period outfits and bring a teacup. The event will feature tea, sandwiches, desserts, gifts and prizes. Tickets are $16 each, and seating is limited.
