FOHL book fair, author event Nov. 14, 15

The Friends of Holmdel Library (FOHL) will host a book fair and author event Nov. 14 and 15 from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. at Barnes & Noble at The Commons at Holmdel, Route 35.

The fund-raiser will feature various New Jersey authors.

Barnes & Noble will donate a percentage of purchases made by shoppers who present a voucher showing support for FOHL.

Proceeds will go toward the establishment of a new public library.

Vouchers are available at the Holmdel Public Library, Crawfords Corner Road, Holmdel schools, the Holmdel Journal, area businesses, and on the FOHL Web site at www.fohlibrary.org.

Scheduled to appear will be authors Frank Finale ("A Gull’s Story, A Tale of Learning about Life, the Shore, and the ABCs"), Kim Levin ("Dogma"), Peter Genovese ("New Jersey Curiosities"), Maria Tisdall ("The Convent Cook"), James D’Arienzo ("The Fallen Forest"), and Mark Di Ionno ("Backroads").

The Friends of Holmdel Library meet on the third Thursday of each month at the senior/community center, Crawfords Corner Road.
