Keyport mayor commends work on Durrua case

I would like to publicly commend Monmouth County Prosecutor John Kaye and his staff for reopening the case involving Jane Durrua.

Our Prosecutor’s Office, along with Jane’s family — who never gave up hope and closure to an unfortunate loss of a human life — should feel extremely proud of what they have shown, not only to our county residents but our state as well.

I want to offer my sincere condolences to the entire family of Jane Durrua, and hope and pray you can get some closure from the end result — a court date for a convicted felon.

My prayers are with you that justice will be served for your loss.

Prosecutor John Kaye and staff, keep up the great work for our Monmouth County residents.

John Merla
