Jailed teacher angry over board’s actions
Open letter to Ronald J. Riccio, the court-appointed mediator in the Middletown teacher contract negotiations:
     Allow me to begin by introducing myself. I am Kevin Coyle. I have taught in the district for 23 years and am presently assigned to grade five at Ocean Avenue Elementary School. On Dec. 5, the Middletown Board of Education put me in jail, where I remained for three days.
