ROBERT J. KANE, 65, of Middletown died Sept. 5 at home. Born in East Orange, he had been a resident of Middletown since 1969. Mr. Kane was a self-employed certified public accountant. Prior to that, he worked at Haskins and Sells, Woodbridge. He served with the U.S. Army from 1960-62. He enjoyed antique car shows and was a member of Jersey Late Greats, Hightstown. Mr. Kane was predeceased by his wife, Arlene Mesak Kane, in 1998. He is survived by a son, Robert J. Kane Jr. of Middletown; a brother, Donald Kane of East Orange; and a sister, Bette Hammerich of Eckert, Colo. Visitation will be Sept. 10 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m., and a funeral service will be held at 8:30 p.m. at John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, Middletown. DIANNE B. OLIVACZ of Brielle, and formerly Keyport, died Sept. 6 at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. Ms. Olivacz was predeceased by a brother, Brian Olivacz. She is survived by her mother, Barbara Higley Olivacz of Hazlet; her father, Robert Olivacz of Hazlet; two sisters, Karen Giordano of Edison and Laurie Olivacz of Keyport; a brother, Robert Olivacz of Matawan; and one niece. A memorial service will be held Sept. 14 at 2 p.m. at St. John’s United Methodist Church, Hazlet. CLAIRE THOMPSON RINKOWSKI, 83, of Keansburg died Sept. 6 at Arnold Walter Nursing Home, Holmdel. Mrs. Rinkowski had been a resident of Keansburg since 1959. She was a machine operator at Lilly Tulip Cup Corp., Holmdel, retiring in 1983. She was a former communicant of St. Ann’s Roman Catholic Church, Keansburg. Mrs. Rinkowski is survived by four sons and daughters-in-law, Edward and Margaret Rinkowski of Middletown, Robert and Carole Rinkowski of Tuckerton, Paul and Bonnie Rinkowski of Massachusetts, and Philip and Rosemary Rinkowski of Pennsylvania; three daughters and two sons-in-law, JoAnn and Edward Palmer, and Phyllis and Dennis Quaglia, all of Keansburg, and Claire Gilardia of Long Branch; a brother, Joseph Thompson of Colonia; two sisters, Gladys Markey of North Carolina and Nancy De Montmorency of Barnegat; 31 grandchildren; and 30 great-grandchildren. A funeral gathering will be held Sept. 10 at 8:45 a.m. at John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, Middletown. A funeral liturgy will follow at 9:30 a.m. at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, New Monmouth section of Middletown. Burial will be at St. Gertrude’s Cemetery, Colonia. ALFRED LOUIS YESSE, 82, of Ocean died Aug. 26 at St. Barnabas Hospice at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. Born in Newark, he resided in Newark, Middletown, and Port St. Lucie, Fla., before moving to Ocean three years ago. Mr. Yesse was a retired mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service, Middletown. He served with the U.S. Air Force. He enjoyed time with his family, and was an avid walker. He was predeceased by his wife, Helen R. Yesse, in 2000. He is survived by a son, Dennis Yesse of Portland, Maine; a daughter, Lee Ann Roper of Ocean; and three grandchildren.

EDWARD W. HENNESSEY, 86, of Little Silver died Aug. 30 at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. Born in Meriden, Conn., he resided in Little Silver the past 49 years. Mr. Hennessey was a retired senior methods engineer at Bendix Corp., Eatontown. He served with the U.S. Air Force during World War II. He was a communicant of St. James Roman Catholic Church, Red Bank, where he was a former member of the Holy Name Society. He was a charter member of the Eatontown Elks, and a member of the Knights of Columbus, Red Bank Council. He was also a member of the Society of Mechanical Engineers. He enjoyed time with his family, football, cards, and bowling. He was predeceased by his wife of 49 years, Dorothy J. Dippel Hennessey, in 2000; a brother, Joseph Hennessey; and a son, John M. Hennessey, in 2000. He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Edward and Denise Hennessey of Middletown; a daughter and son-in-law, Kathleen and Michael Dunfee of Kinsman, Ohio; a daughter-in-law, Maura Hennessey of Tinton Falls; two brothers, Frank Hennessey of Palm City, Fla., and John Hennessey of Jupiter, Fla.; and eight grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered at St. James Roman Catholic Church, Red Bank. Interment was at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Middletown.

J. DREW BEEBE SR., 53, of Middletown died Sept. 1 at the St. Barnabas Hospice, Long Branch, following a battle with cancer. Born in Paterson, he resided in Totowa and Tinton Falls prior to moving to Middletown 20 years ago. He was a communicant of St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, New Monmouth section of Middletown. He was a teacher at Brick High School the past two years. Prior to that, he taught in Belmar and Toms River, and in the Diocese of Trenton. A recent nominee to Who’s Who in Ed­ucation, he was also named Environmental Teacher of the Year twice by the Monmouth County Soil Conservation District, Freehold. His memberships included the New Jersey Educa­tion Association and Kappa Delta Pi Honor So­ciety for educators. He was prede­ceased by his father, John Edward Beebe, and a sister, Lynne Vezzosi Tector. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Marie Busch Beebe of Middle­town; his son and daughter-in-law, J. Drew and Shari Beebe Jr. of Franklin Park; two daughters, Re­becca Buffin and Meredith Beebe, both Middle­town; his mother, June Beebe of Toms River; his sister, Gayle McKnight of the Lincroft section of Middletown; and one granddaughter. A fu­neral liturgy was offered at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, New Monmouth. Burial was at Fair View Cemetery, Middletown. Memorial do­nations may be made to Georgian Court Col­lege, 900 Lake­wood Ave., Lakewood 08701.

JOSEPH P. REARDON, 67, of Hazlet died Sept. 1 at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he resided there prior to moving to Hazlet 26 years ago. He was a claim consultant at Metropolitan Life Insurance, New York City and Bridgewater, for 45 years, retiring in 1996. He served with the U.S. Army. He was a communicant of St. Benedict’s Roman Catholic Church, Holmdel. He was prede­ceased by a sister, Muriel Jordan in 1991. He is survived by his wife, Mary Reardon of Hazlet; two daughters, Kathleen Reardon and Maureen Rear­don, both of Hazlet; his son, Joseph Reardon of Hazlet; four sisters, Mary Walsh, Angela Reardon, Regina D’Onofrio and Gladys Reardon; his brother and sister-in-law, John and Mary Reardon; and his sister-in-law, Eilleen Engel. A Mass of Christian Burial was of­fered at St. Benedict’s Roman Catholic Church, Holmdel. Burial was at Fair View Cemetery, Mid­dletown.

RICHARD P. MASKEVICH, 68, of the Lau­rence Harbor section of Old Bridge died Sept. 4 at home. Born in Linden, he moved to Laurence Harbor 53 years ago. He worked in shipping and receiving at General Motors Inc., Linden, for 40 years, retir­ing in 1993. He served with the U.S. Navy during peacetime. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Keyport. He was predeceased by his parents, Apollo A. and Julie K. Maskevich; his son, Richard P. Maskevich Jr. in 1957; and his broth­ers, Milton Maskevich and Wilbur Maskevich. He is survived by three daughters and one son-in-law, April and Robert Gareis of the Cliffwood Beach section of Ab­erdeen, Erin Kozak of Laurence Har­bor, and Lisa Maskevich of Cliffwood Beach; his sister and brother-in-law, Marie and John Murray of San Diego, Calif.; five grandchildren; and one great-grandson. Cremation was private.

MARY T. FLYNN McLAUGHLIN of the Port Monmouth section of Middletown, died Aug. 25 at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. Born in New York City, she resided in Hoboken before moving to Port Monmouth in 1966. She was a waitress at Dunkin’ Donuts, Middletown and Ha­zlet, for 25 years. She was a communicant of St. Catherine’s Roman Catholic Church, Middletown. She was predeceased by her husband, Bernard J. McLaughlin, in 1999; and a son, Brian McLaughlin, in 1976. She is survived by three sons, Sean McLaughlin of Jersey City, Joseph McLaughlin of Port Monmouth, and Michael McLaughlin of Keansburg; two daughters, Maureen Jetter of Matawan, and Anne Thorne of Jackson; two brothers, Patrick Flynn of Fort Lee, and John Flynn of Hoboken; two sisters, Anne Rogan of East Meadow, New York, and Margaret Hayes of Hoboken; five grandchildren; and one great-grandson. A funeral liturgy was offered at St. Catherine’s Church. Burial was at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Middletown. Memorial donations may be made to Deborah Hospital Foundation, P.O. EDWARD P. BLECHA, 84, of Marietta, Ga., died Aug. 22 at Tranquility Hospice, Austell, Ga. Born in Newark, he lived in Keyport and Freehold before moving to Marietta 13 years ago. Mr. Blecha was an insurance agent for State Farm. He was a graduate of Keyport High School and Rutgers University. He was a former member of Grace Lutheran Church, Freehold. Mr. Blecha a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was predeceased by his wife, Erika Haeppner Blecha, in 1986. Surviving are a daughter Karen L. Stiltz of Marietta; and two granddaughters. Graveside services were at Old Tennent Cemetery, Manalapan.
