Entries for MCAC juried show due by Jan. 4

The Monmouth County Arts Council (MCAC), Red Bank, is seeking entries in all fine arts media for its 26th annual juried art show and sale Jan. 23-Feb. 20. The deadline for entries is Jan. 4. The juror will be Naomi Grossman, New York, a mixed media artist.

Approximately $1,200 in awards will be presented at the opening reception Jan. 22 from 3-5 p.m. The event is open to artists ages 16 and older and will be held at Monmouth Museum on the campus at Brookdale Community College, Lincroft section of Middletown. Hours are Tuesday-Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and Sunday from 1-5 p.m. Admission to the lower gallery where the exhibition is on display is $4; admission to the general museum is $5. VNACJ announces winners of competition

VNA of Central Jersey (VNACJ) recently announced the winners of it house tour garden club competition judged by members of the Garden Club of New Jersey. The Shrewsbury Garden Club earned “best club” and “best in show” honors for designs for floral arrangements at the Middletown riverfront home of William Scholtz and Diane Unangst. Tour proceeds benefited VNACJ’s hospice programs.
