Obituaries Louis C. Scoras Mr. Scoras, 48, of Holmdel, died Jan. 30 at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. Born in Long Branch, he resided in Union Beach before moving to Holmdel. Mr. Scoras was the owner and operator of Holmdel Auto Body. He was president of the Central Jersey Auto Body Association, and coached Holmdel Pop Warner football. He was predeceased by his parents, John and Lois Jaeger Scoras. Mr. Scoras is survived by his wife, Bonnie Baird Scoras; three sons, Louis J. Scoras of Washington, D.C., and John W. Scoras and Randy C. Scoras, both of Holmdel; two brothers and sisters-in-law, John L. and Claudette Scoras of Manasquan, and Randy W. and Patricia Scoras of Freehold; one aunt; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Feb. 2 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at Day Funeral Home, Keyport. Henry O’Neill Mr. O’Neill, 80, of the Belford section of Middletown, died Jan. 30 at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. He was born in Hillside, where he resided until moving to Belford nine years ago. Mr. O’Neill was a brewer at Anheuser Busch, Newark, for 35 years, retiring in 1987. He served with the U.S. Coast Guard during World War II. Mr. O’Neill is survived by his wife of 50 years, Lois Powers O’Neill; two daughters and one son-in-law, Sharon and John Silva of Belford, and Karen O’Neill of California; a son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Kim O’Neill of Middletown; a sister, MaryJane Storrs of New York; and four grandchildren. A funeral service will be held Feb. 2 at 10:30 a.m. at the John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, Middletown, Burial will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Middletown.
Michael F. Quaglia Jr. Mr. Quaglia, 42, of East North Port, N.Y., and formerly Holmdel, died Jan. 29 at Southside Hospital, Long Island, N.Y. He was a union member of Laborers Local Union No. 731, Queens, N.Y., most recently excavating the site of the World Trade Center. He was an avid fan of the New York Yankees and New York Giants. He is survived by his fiancé, Lisa Deneen of North Port, N.Y.; his children, Dominique and Michael III; his father and stepmother, Michael and Patricia Quaglia Sr. of Holmdel; a sister and brother-in-law, Denean and Michael Burke of Wall; a stepbrother, Kevin Roth of San Francisco; two stepsisters and their husbands, Christie and Gus Vigo, and Kim and Todd Hall, all of Long Branch; one niece, and nephew; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Yvette C. Fortin Michaud Mrs. Michaud, 80, of the Cliffwood Beach section of Aberdeen, died Jan. 198 at home. Born in Augusta, Maine, she resided there prior to moving to Cliffwood Beach 52 years ago. She was a homemaker. Prior to that, she was a medical stenographer at the Veterans Administration in the state of Maine. She was a communicant of St. Clement’s Roman Catholic Church, Matawan. She was also a member of the Blue Army Shrine, Our Lady of Fatima, Raritan. She was predeceased by her husband, Camille J. Michaud in 1999; a son, Raymond Michaud in 1998; and a grandson, Fred Talmadge in 1998. She is survived by two daughters, Lynda Talmadge of Cliffwood Beach, and Carole MacIsaac of Flemington; a brother, Clement Fortin of Maine; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Alexandra “Sandy” Torra Mrs. Torra, 67, of Middletown, died Jan. 18 at home. Born in Russia, she relocated to the United States, and resided in Middletown since 1951. She and her husband co-owned Monmouth Street Chevron, Red Bank, for 43 years. She was a member and past church warden of St. Nicholas Russian Orthodox Church, Red Bank. She was a life member of the River Plaza Hose Company Ladies Auxiliary for the Middletown Township Fire Department. She enjoyed gardening, boating, and helping with the preservation of her church. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Frank Torra; two daughters, Veronica “Ronnie” Torra and Alexandra “Sandy” Torra, both Middletown; a brother, Nicholas Doroschenko of the Fords section of Woodbridge; two brothers-in-law, Dr. Robert M. Carvalho of Malibu, Calif., and Richard Torra of Santa Ynez, Calif.; a sister-in-law, Carolyn Torra Lesher of Solvang, Calif.; and two grandchildren. Rita T. Lynch Zimmermann Mrs. Zimmermann, 82, of the Cliffwood Beach section of Aberdeen, died Jan. 26 at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. Born in Jersey City, she resided there before moving to Cliffwood Beach 40 years ago. Mrs. Zimmermann was a homemaker. She was a communicant of St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, Keyport. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph M. Zimmermann in 2004; an infant son, Joseph Zimmermann Jr.; six sisters; and one brother. Mrs. Zimmermann is survived by four sons, Robert and Joseph Zimmermann, both of Jackson, Gary Zimmermann of Matawan, and Dean Zimmermann of Cliffwood Beach; four daughters, Carole Binkowski of Little Egg Harbor, Janet Snyder of the West Keansburg section of Hazlet, Linda Brown of Hazlet, and Nancy Zimmermann of Keyport; 21 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Coleen M. Fitzpatrick Ms. Fitzpatrick, 49, of North Middletown, died Jan. 30 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Born in Jersey City, she resided in Hazlet before moving to North Middletown 15 years ago. Ms. Fitzpatrick was an inventory consultant at Cooperative Inventory Inc., Verona. She was predeceased by her father, George Christopher. She is survived by her mother, Mary McGuinness Christopher of Howell; a daughter, Lindsay Fitzpatrick of Winfield, W. Siegfried Rech Mr. Rech, 89, of Middletown, died Jan. 20 at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. Born in Rockenhausen, Germany, he resided in Clifton prior to moving to Middletown 18 years ago. He was a textile worker at Fabian Corporation for 10 years, retiring 27 years ago. He was predeceased by his wife, Hedwig Rech in 1986. He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Wolfgang and Carol Rech of Middletown; a daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Steven Lengyel of the Belford section of Middletown; a sister, Lydia Rech; and five grandchildren. Francisco Scalco Mr. Scalco, 81, of Shadow Lake Village, River Plaza section of Middletown, died Jan. 21 at home. He resided in Pemberton prior to moving to River Plaza eight years ago. He served with the U.S. Army for 22 years, retiring from Fort Dix. He served with the 8th Army Air Corps during World War II, and re enlisted in the U.S. Army and serving with the Infantry Division. his medals included the European African Middle Eastern Campaign Medal, Victory Medal, and several Good Conduct Medals. Prior to that, he was employed at 20th Century Fox, Hollywood. He was a Life Member of the Disabled American Veterans, and Veterans of Foreign Wars. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Adelheid “Heidi”; a daughter. Linda Scalco of Fair Haven; a brother, Humberto Scalco of Miami; and one grandson. Interment was at Brig. Gen. William C. Joseph M. Natale Mr. Natale, 45, of Aberdeen died Jan. 22 at home. Born in Newark, he resided in Laurence Harbor before moving to Aberdeen 10 years ago. Mr. Natale was a conductor at NJ Transit, Long Branch, for 17 years. He was a former member of the Garfield Cadets Drum & Bugle Corps. He was predeceased by a brother, Richard, in 1991. Mr. Natale is survived by his parents, Joseph and Mary Lennon Natale of Parlin; a brother and sister-in-law, David and Donna Natale of Hazlet; a sister, Deborah Hoffman of Holmdel; and three nephews. Mr. Medric was a laborer at Hazlet Public Works Department, and was a part-time custodian at Raritan High School, Hazlet. Prior to that, he was a supervisor at Mudge, Rows, Guthrey and Alexander, New York City, for 36 years. He coached basketball for the Hazlet Youth Athletic League. Mr. Medric is survived by his wife, Joanne Terlizzi Medric; three daughters, Francine Florio and Jaime Costanzo, both of Hazlet, and Claire Medric; a son, Michael Medric Jr. of Hazlet; a sister, Margaret Lenz of Kearny; and three grandchildren.
