Registration under way for boating course

Registration is now under way for a boating skills and seamanship course sponsored by the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 24, Keyport.

The eight-session class will be held Tuesdays from 7-9 p.m. beginning April 5 at Memorial School, 221 Morningside Ave., Union Beach. Included in the course will be information how to trailer a boat, handle a boat, what boat to purchase, and rules to follow. Individuals completing the course will be awarded a certificate, and the course meets the New Jersey state requirements to apply for a PWC/Jetski license.
