Obituaries Mary Stuart Foots Collison Mrs. Collison, 56, of Eatontown, died July 9 at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. Born in the Bronx, N.Y., she resided in Rutherford and Hazlet, prior to moving to Eatontown five years ago. She was employed at Verizon, Shrewsbury. She enjoyed time with her family. She was predeceased by her parents, Mark and Mary Moore Foots. She is survived by her husband of 33 years, William “Bill” Collison; a daughter and son-in-law, Maureen and Scott Stark of Red Bank; a brother, Douglas Foots Jr.; a sister, Betty Stevenson; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be July 13 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at John E. Day Funeral Home, Red Bank. A funeral service will be July 13 at 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
Michael P. Guiliano Mr. Guiliano, 67, of Upper Freehold Township, died July 8 at his home. Born in Perth Amboy, he had lived in North Brunswick before moving to Upper Freehold Township 10 months ago. He was a graduate of Perth Amboy High School. Mr. Guiliano was a U.S. Navy veteran. He was a self-employed commercial photographer and had worked as a staff photographer for Greater Media Newspapers for 25 years. He enjoyed model trains and fishing. He is survived by his wife, Sharon L. Costanzo Guiliano; two sons, Joseph M. Guiliano and his wife, Peggy, of Manalapan, and Bradley M. Guiliano and his friend, Ellen Gagnon, of South River; a daughter, Lauren Guiliano and her fiancé, Finbarr Brady, of Bordentown; a brother and sister-in-law, Dr. Philip and Susan Guiliano of Medford; a sister and brother-in-law, Elizabeth and Carl Kurtiak of Kentucky, and four grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. John’s Roman Catholic Church, Allentown, followed by interment at Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arnytown, Burlington County. Arrangements were under the direction of Peppler Funeral Home, Allentown. Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association, 2550 Route 1, North Brunswick 08902.
Frank Siano Jr. Mr. Siano, 83, of Hazlet, died July 10 at Victoria House, Matawan. He was born in Hazlet. He was a heavy equipment operator at South Jersey Paving, retiring in 1993. He was a communicant of St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, Keyport. He was an ex-chief and life member of Hazlet Fire Company. He was predeceased by his wife, Carmella in 1983. He is survived by a son, Frank Siano III of Hazlet; a daughter, Roseann Storey of the Belford section of Middletown; and three grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated July 13 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Church. Interment will follow at the church’s cemetery. Arrangements are by Day Funeral Home, Keyport.
John P. Boersdamm Mr. Boersdamm, 77, of East Brunswick, died June 27 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Prior to his retirement in 1988, he was a sheet metal worker at Lucent Technologies, Holmdel. Surviving are his wife, Heather Niekrenz Boersdamm; two daughters, Ingrid Paradise of Rockville, Md., and June Rosso of Ewing; a son, John H. Boersdamm of Middleboro, Mass.; and five grandchildren. Services were held at Nativity Evangelical Lutheran Church, East Brunswick. Cremation was private. Dorothy S. “Dottie” Scott Mrs. Scott, 77, of the Lincroft section of Middletown, died June 29 at Sunrise Assisted Living, Lincroft, where she had been a resident for the past 1 1/2 years. She had resided in Holmdel for approximately 50 years before moving to Middletown. Mrs. Scott was an executive secretary at DuPont, retiring after 27 years. She was a member of Middletown United Methodist Church and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Mrs. Scott was predeceased by her husband, Robert Scott. She is survived by four cousins, Kim Mundrane-Tuohy of Keyport, Mary Mundrane of Middletown, Donald Walling of Aberdeen, and Joan Walling of the Belford section of Middletown. A funeral service was held at Middletown United Methodist Church. Interment was at Cedarwood Cemetery, Hazlet. The Bedle Funeral Home, Keyport, was in charge of arrangements. Patricia Ann Farinella Mrs. Farinella, 68, of Middletown, died July 8 at her daughter’s Tinton Falls home. Born in Newark, she had resided in Maplewood and Millburn before moving to Middletown 45 years ago. Mrs. Farinella was a homemaker and had been employed at New Jersey Bell Telephone Co., Millburn, for more than 10 yeas. She also worked at National State Bank, Union. She was a communicant of St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, New Monmouth section of Middletown. Mrs. Farinella is survived by her husband of 45 years, Anthony Farinella; two daughters, Toni Farinella of Berkeley Heights and Jody Farinella of Tinton Falls; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Edward and Domenica Santora of Maplewood, and Richard Santora of Rahway; and three nephews. Irene Hoynowski Smith Mrs. Smith, 81, of Hazlet, died July 9 at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. Born in Nanticoke, Pa., she had resided in Pennsylvania before moving to Hazlet recently. She was a secretary at Yale & Town, Nanticoke, Pa., retiring several years ago. Mrs. Smith was predeceased by her husband, Edgar Harrison Smith, in 1985. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Valerie and Lincoln Niess of Holmdel. A funeral liturgy was celebrated at St. Catharine’s Roman Catholic Church, Holmdel, followed by burial at Lutheran Cemetery, New York. The John F. Sherri E. Pauciello Ms. Pauciello, 49, of the Cliffwood Beach section of Aberdeen, died July 8 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Born in New Brunswick, she had resided in East Brunswick before moving to Cliffwood Beach three years ago. Ms. Pauciello was employed in shipping and receiving at Staples Warehouse, Monroe Township, the past seven years. She is survived by a daughter, Kristy M. Barr of East Brunswick; a brother, Samuel J. Pauciello of Pennsylvania; a sister, Margaret M. Pauciello of East Brunswick; and two grandchildren. Entombment was at Frost Woods Cemetery, East Brunswick. William E. “Sonny” Gottschalk Mr. Gottschalk, 75, of Aberdeen, died July 9 at home. Born in New York City, he had resided in Laurence Harbor and Barnegat before moving to Aberdeen eight years ago. He was employed by the U.S. Postal Service in New York City for 25 years, retiring in 1992. He served with the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. Mr. Gottschalk is survived by a sister, Marion Barfield of Aberdeen; a niece; two nephews; and several great-nieces and great-nephews. Arrangements were by The Gundrum Service Home for Funerals, South Amboy.
Jacqueline Larrieux Mrs. Larrieux, 63, of Hazlet, died July 9 at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. Born in Haiti, she resided in Chicago prior to moving to Hazlet. She was a surgical instrument hygienist at Memorial Hospital, Chicago, retiring after 20 years’ service. She enjoyed reading, and sewing. She was predeceased by a sister, Janina Larrieux in 2004. She is survived by a daughter, Dominique Narcisse of Montreal; a brother, Raynald Larrieux of Chicago; a sister, Gracia Larrieux of Chicago; and four grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church, Red Bank. Arrangements were by John E. Day Funeral Home, Red Bank.
Alfred D. Walsh Sr. Mr. Walsh, 80, of Old Bridge, died July 3 in Madison Care Center, Old Bridge. He was a former bus driver for the Old Bridge Office on Aging. His wife, Adele J. Walsh, died in 1995, and a son, Thomas Walsh, died in 1947. Surviving are a son, Alfred D. Walsh Jr. of Newport, R.I.; two daughters, Frances E. Stenger of Carteret and Donna M. Costello of Brick; two sisters, Diane Dzurenko of Middletown and Rosemary Cataldi of Branchburg; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Lawrence Church, Laurence Harbor section of Old Bridge. Interment was in Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Lawrence Knights of Columbus Building Fund.
Freda B. “Aunt Fritzie” Smith Mrs. Smith, 81, of South Amboy, formerly of the Morgan section of Sayreville, died July 3 at the home of her niece in the Belford section of Middletown. Prior to her retirement, she was the owner of Fritzie’s Marina, Morgan. Before that, she was employed as a boat builder with Henry Luhr’s Sea Skiffs, Morgan, where she worked for 37 years. Surviving are 11 nieces and nephews; 10 great-nieces and great-nephews; and 19 great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews. Services were held at Gundrum Service Home for Funerals, South Amboy. Cremation was private.
Rosemary Bonny Mrs. Bonny, 56, of Aberdeen, died July 8 at Raritan Bay Medical Center, Perth Amboy division. Born in the Bronx, N.Y., she had resided in Hazlet before moving to Aberdeen three years ago. Mrs. Bonny is survived by a daughter, Bernadette Bonny of Hazlet; a son, William Bonny Jr. of Aberdeen; her former husband, William Bonny of Little Egg Harbor; and two grandchildren. Burial took place at Bay View Cemetery, Leonardo section of Middletown. The John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, Middletown, was in charge of arrangements.
