     Spotlight Players will hold auditions for the family musical “The Adventures of Tom Sawyer” at 7 p.m. Aug. 17 and Aug. 22, and at 3 p.m. Aug. 21. Auditions will be held at the First Presbyterian Church of Matawan, Route 34 and Franklin Street. Several roles are available for adults and teens ages 12

Half Century Club seniors event Aug. 24
     The Holmdel Half Century Club will host an evening for seniors Aug. 24 at 5 p.m. at the Holmdel Swim Club, Keyport-Holmdel Road. The event will feature a buffet dinner and DJ music. The cost is $5 per member and $8 per guest. The rain date is Aug. 25.
