Obituaries Margaret Ann Frazee Mrs. Frazee, 102, of Keansburg, died Sept. 5 at home. Born in New York City, she was a lifelong resident of Keansburg, and one of its oldest residents. She was a homemaker. She was predeceased by her husband, L. Franklin Frazee; a brother, Frederick; a sister, Zabel Waterman; a great-granddaughter, Alexandra Rose Miracle; and a son-in-law, Gino Straniero. She is survived by four daughters and three sons-in-law, Elizabeth and Dominick Zimbardo of Toms River, Patricia and Steve Lusiano of Red Bank, Joan and Robert Lovelace of Ormand Beach, Fla., and Zabelle Straniero, her caregiver, of Holmdel; three sons and daughters-in-law, Dwight F. and Joan M. Frazee of Toms River, Stephen H. and Sally Frazee, and L. Anthony and Arlene Frazee, all of Keansburg; 21 grandchildren; 49 great-grandchildren; and 27 great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Sept. 9 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, Middletown. A funeral service will be Sept. 10 at 8:15 a.m. at the funeral home, followed by a funeral liturgy at 9:15 a.m. at St. Ann’s Roman Catholic Church, Keansburg. Interment will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Middletown.
Eleanore “Ellie” Mehler Mrs. Mehler, 75, of the Belford section of Middletown, died Sept. 3 at Jersey Shore Medical Center, Neptune. Born in Newark, she resided there prior to moving to Belford 48 years ago. She was a bar manager at Lakeview, Hazlet, Langford’s, Belford, and the Marina Tavern, Keansburg. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 2179, Port Monmouth section of Middletown. She was predeceased by her husband, Raymond Mehler in 2001; two brothers, Stephen and William Muzzio; and a son-in-law, John Murray. She is survived by two sons and one daughter-in-law, Robert and Annetta Mehler of Oveido, Fla., and Steven Mehler of Belford; three daughters, Catherine Mannix of Atlantic Highlands, Sharon McGovern of Belford, and Ellen Murray of Keansburg; a sister and brother-in-law, Shirlee and Maurice Mastromonico of Toms River; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be Sept. 8 at 11 a.m. at John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, Middletown. Francis A. Boardwick Mr. Boardwick, 76, of Union Beach, died Sept. 3 at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. Born in Union Beach, he was a lifelong resident. He was a mechanic at Remsen Dodge, Hazlet, for 20 years, retiring in 1994. Prior to that, he was a blast furnace foreman at National Lead, Perth Amboy, for 26 years. He was a life member of the American Motorcycle Association. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Charlotte Cullen Boardwick; four sons and three daughters-in-law, Thomas and Adrian Boardwick of Middletown, Frank and Kathy Boardwick of Keyport, and John Boardwick, and Robert and Karen Boardwick, all of Union Beach; a daughter and son-in-law, Carol Boardwick and Neil Swerdloff of Keyport; three sisters, Naomi Summers of Florida, Lolita Thomson of Hazlet, and Elenor Zilinski of Colts Neck; and six grandchildren. A funeral service will be Sept. 8 at 10:30 a.m. at Day Funeral Home, Keyport, followed by interment at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Keyport.
Maria Omelczuk Miss Omelczuk, 72, of Middletown, died Aug. 31 at home. Born in the Ukraine, she relocated to Argentina in 1949, and resided in Nyack, N.Y., prior to moving to Middletown 20 years ago. She was a registered nurse at Bloomfield (N.J.) Nursing Home, and Nyack Hospital and Yonkers (N.Y.) Hospital, retiring 25 years ago. She was a member and volunteer at The Salvation Army, Red Bank. She is survived by a brother, Miguel Omelczuk of Middletown; and two sisters, Catalina Doroszuk and Nadine Frolow, both of Clark. Burial was at Fair View Cemetery, Middletown. Arrangements were by John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, Middletown.
Thomasina (Scott) Williams Ms. Williams, 44, of Matawan, died Aug. 24 at her brother’s home in Cliffwood Beach. Born in Long Branch, she was a lifelong resident of Matawan. Ms. Williams was a tax collector for the Borough of Matawan. She also was a clerk at Quick Check, Matawan. Ms. Williams was a U.S. Army veteran, having served from 1979 to 1982. She was a former member of New Light Baptist Church, Cliffwood, and a member of the Shore Knights, Matawan. She was predeceased by her mother, Marion Scott. Ms. Williams is survived by her father, Thomas Scott of Ocean Township; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Daphne and Brian Scott of Matawan, and Dina and Richard Smith of Summerville, S.C.; three brothers and a sister-in-law, Frederick Smith of Matawan, and Rodney and Sheryl Scott and Thomas Scott, all of Cliffwood Beach; four nephews; three nieces; and a goddaughter. Funeral services were held at Community Bible Fellowship, Cliffwood Beach, followed by interment at Shoreland Memorial Gardens, Hazlet. The Day Funeral Home, Keyport, was in charge of arrangements.
Gary S. Kramer Mr. Kramer, 51, of the Cliffwood Beach section of Aberdeen, died Sept. 3 at Lancaster, Pa. Born in Long Branch, he was a lifelong resident of Matawan. Mr. Kramer was an auto mechanic at Weber’s Garage, South Amboy, for the past three years. He is survived by his parents, Al and Betty Cooper Kramer of Lancaster; a daughter, Shannon Kramer of Matawan; two sisters, Cheryl Houlday and Janet Graves, both of Lancaster; and his companion, Jen Griffith of New Stanton, Pa. Visitation will be held Sept. 8 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at the Day Funeral Home, Keyport. Diana Theresa Della Valle Miss Della Valle, 40, of Middletown, died Aug. 25 in Neptune. Born in Newark, she resided in Middletown the past 38 years. She was a communicant of St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church, Red Bank. She was an avid fan of the New York Giants. She is survived by her parents, Angelo and Elissa Cavaliere Della Valle; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Anthony and Maria Della Valle of Lake Worth, Fla., and Joseph and Mary Della Valle of the Lincroft section of Middletown; a sister and brother-in-law, Gina and David Holland of Middletown; one niece; and seven nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church, Red Bank. Interment was at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Middletown. Arrangements were by John E. Margaretha Lentze Mrs. Lentze, 76, of Middletown, died Sept. 2 at Bayshore Health Care Center, Holmdel, following a battle with cancer. Born in Jakarta, Indonesia, she resided in Holland, Richmond Town, Staten Island, N.Y., and Hazlet, prior to moving to Middletown. She was activities coordinator at Laurel Bay Nursing Home, Keansburg, for 10 years. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Staten Island Chapter, Richmond Town, Staten Island, N.Y. She enjoyed cooking, and arts and crafts. She was predeceased by her husband, Richard Henri Lentze in 1980; and a brother-in-law, Ewald Lentze. She is survived by a brother and sister-in-law, Henk and Lucia Hopman of Holland; a sister-in-law, Juul Lentze of Florida; a son and daughter-in-law, Jeffrey and Patti Lentze of Hazlet; and one grandson. Visitation will be Sept. 8 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. at John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, Middletown. A funeral service will be Sept. 9 at 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
