Kerry J. O'Brien, Middletown, received a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering at the spring commencement exercises at Manhattan College, Riverdale, N.Y. He is the son of Susan and Kevin O'Brien.
Kevin R. Schmidt, West Keansburg section of Hazlet, received a bachelor's degree in computer science, with honors, at the spring commencement ceremonies at Cook College, Rutgers University, New Brunswick. He is the son of Karen and Richard Schmidt.
Kevin Parks, Middletown, was named to the dean's list for the spring semester at the College of Human Services and Health Professions at Syracuse (N.Y.) University, where he is a freshman majoring in human services and health professions.
Stacey M. Molski, Middletown, was named to the dean's list for the spring semester at Fairfield (Conn.) University. An art history major, she is the daughter of Anita and Raymond Molski.
Matthew Ewald, Lincroft, was named to the dean's list for the spring and fall semesters at West Virginia University, Morgantown, where he is a pre-med major and active in Chimes Honor Society. A graduate of Middletown High School South, he is the son of Barbara and Jeffrey Ewald.
The School of Architecture at Syracuse University named the following Holmdel students to the dean's list for the spring semester: Evan Delli Paoli, a junior majoring in architecture; and Alexander Kim, a junior majoring in architecture. The university's College of Arts and Sciences named the following local students to the dean's list for the spring semester: Paulina Han, Holmdel, a freshman political science major; Julianne Pepitone, Lincroft section of Middletown, a junior majoring in psychology and magazine journalism; and George Noble, Middletown, a freshman arts and sciences major.
Diana Chien, Holmdel, recently had her poem "She Speaks" selected for publication in the 2006 edition of The Apprentice Writer literary magazine. The magazine publishes poems, stories, personal essays, photographs and artwork by high school students from 16 states. Chien's poem was one of approximately 70 chosen from more than 5,000 submissions. A student at Holmdel High School, she is the daughter of Betty and Tony Chien.

Ling Hui Chew, Matawan, has received a bachelor's of business administration degree in management at the spring commencement exercises at Wichita (Kan.) State University.
Emily Megan White, Middletown, received a bachelor of arts degree in English literature at the spring commencement exercises at Franklin & Marshall College, Lancaster, Pa. While at the school, she was a Presidential Scholar, honors student and a staff member of The College Reporter student newspaper. A 2002 graduate of Middletown High School North, she is the daughter of Jill and Slaton White.
Middletown resident Louis Spadaro received a bachelor's degree in marketing at the spring commencement exercises at Fairfield (Conn.) University. Vice president of his graduating class, he was also named to the dean's honor list for the spring semester. A graduate of Mater Dei High School, New Monmouth section of Middletown, he is the son of Lucia and Jerry Spadaro.
Amanda Sansevere, West Keansburg section of Hazlet, has been named to the dean's list for the spring semester at Ramapo College of New Jersey, Mahwah, where she is majoring in history and secondary education, and a member of Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society. A 2005 graduate of Raritan High School, Hazlet, she is the daughter of Adria and Bob Sansevere.
Lauren LiPera, Matawan, has been named to the dean's list for the spring semester at Albright College, Reading, Pa. A graduate of Matawan Regional High School, Aberdeen, she is a senior majoring in Latin American studies, criminology track and sociology.

Amy Chrzanowski, Aberdeen, was named to the dean's list for the spring semester at Muhlenberg College, Allentown, Pa., where she is majoring in both communications and theater. She will study at Goldsmith College, London, next fall. A 2004 graduate of Matawan Regional High School, she is the daughter of Donna and Michael Chrzanowski.
Hazlet resident Matthew S. Hinz was named to the dean's list for the spring semester at Ramapo College of New Jersey, Mahwah, where he is majoring in law and society. He is also the recipient of the Omicron Delta Kappa New Student Achievement Award for First Year Students, vice president of Phi Alpha Delta International Law Society chapter at Ramapo, and a resident assistant (RA).
