Ralph Caputo

Mr. Caputo, 61, of Peoria, Ariz., died April 9. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he resided in Middletown, prior to moving to Peoria nine years ago. He was the retired owner and operator of J & R Plumbing, RA Plumbing, Middletown, and was a member of Arizona Pipe Traders Union Local No. 469. He is survived by three daughters and one son-in-law, Lisa Caputo of the Port Monmouth section of Middletown, Victoria and Doug Lynch of Holmdel, and Heather Caputo of Jackson; a brother, Don Caputo of Long Island, N.Y.; a sister and brother-in-law, Rose Ann and Lester Halliwell of Aberdeen; and five grandchildren. A funeral service will be April 12 at 12:15 p.m. at John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, Middletown. A funeral liturgy will follow at 1 p.m. at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, New Monmouth section of Middletown. Burial will be at Fair View Cemetery, Middletown. Grace E. Cooper

Mrs. Cooper, 78, of Middletown, died April 9 at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. Born in Newark, she resided in Middletown 60 years. She was a certified nurse's aide at Riverview Medical Center. She was a member of St. Catherine's Roman Catholic Church, Middletown, where she was also a member of the Rosary Altar Society. She was predeceased by her husband, Leroy Cooper. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Lillian Cooper of Middletown; a daughter, Ruth Ann Cooper of Middletown; two brothers and one sister-in-law, John W. and Dorothy Keough of Middletown, and Robert Keough of Florida; and three grandchildren. Visitation will be April 12 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. at John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, Middletown. A funeral service will be April 13 at 9:45 a.m. at the funeral home, followed by a funeral liturgy at 10:30 a.m. at St. Catherine's Church. Burial will follow at Fair View Cemetery, Middletown.

Patricia M. Fenton

Mrs. Fenton, 48, of Middletown, died April 8 at home. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., she has resided in Middletown the past 10 years. She was a vice president in the legal department at City Group, New York City, where she was employed for 29 years. She was a member of St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, New Monmouth section of Middletown. Mrs. Fenton was predeceased by her parents, Elinor and William Fenton. She is survived by three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Kathleen and Roy McGinnis of Brooklyn, N.Y., Peggy and Mike Norton, and Eileen Kirms, all of Middletown; a brother and sister-in-law, Billy "Duke" and Ana Fenton of Westport, Conn.; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral liturgy will be offered April 12 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Church. Entombment will follow at Cloverleaf Cemetery, Woodbridge. The John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, Middletown, is in charge of arrangements.

John Joseph Golinski

Mr. Golinski, 74, of Middletown, died April 7 at home. Born in Jersey City, he resided in Brooklyn, N.Y., before moving to Middletown 36 years ago. Before his retirement in 1992, Mr. Golinski was a manager at First Chicago Bank, New York City, where he was employed for 36 years. He served with the U.S. Air Force. He was a parishioner at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, New Monmouth section of Middletown, where he attended the Perpetual Adoration Chapel weekly. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Vince Lombardi Council. Mr. Golinski was predeceased by a sister, Theresa Michonski. He is survived by his wife, Margaret Rita Boland Golinski; two sons and daughters-in-law, John and Dorothy Golinski of Pelham, N.H., and Richard and Julie Golinski of Pleasant Hill, Calif.; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Margaret and John Sapalio of Belle Mead, Eileen Toomey of the Belford section of Middletown, and Christine and Lou Dimino of Mays Landing; and eight grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated April 12 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Church. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Burial Park, Jamesburg. The John F. Danielle M. Kupper

Miss Kupper, 29, of Union Beach, died April 7 at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. Born in New Brunswick, she resided in Metuchen prior to moving to Union Beach 25 years ago. She attended Harbor School, Eatontown. She is survived by her parents, Virginia and Joseph Kupper of Union Beach; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Dawn and Russ Benson of Hazlet, and Stacy and Richard Post of Howell; two brothers, Marine Cpl. Joseph Kupper, and James Kupper, both of Union Beach; her grandmother, Helen C. Kapler of Edison; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be April 12 at 10 a.m. at Day Funeral Home, Keyport.

Phyliss A. Skogsrud Young

Mrs. Young, 81, of Shrewsbury, died April 9 at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. Born in Kearny, she resided in Middletown, prior to moving to Shrewsbury in September. She was a homemaker. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Harold Young; a daughter, Nancy Patricia McQuade of East Stroudsburg, Pa.; a son, Stephen Young of Keansburg; a sister, Dorothea Mollenhauer of Lansdale, Pa.; a daughter-in-law, Nancy Young of the Port Monmouth section of Middletown; and four grandsons. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are by John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, Middletown.

Rosemary Ann Miller Lyle

Mrs. Lyle, 82, of Jackson, died March 13 at Bartley Health Care Nursing & Rehabilitation, Jackson. Born in Staten Island, N.Y., she moved to Howell in 1957 and lived there until 2005, when she entered Bartley Health Care. She was a communicant of St. Veronica's Roman Catholic Church, Howell, where she belonged to the Rosary Altar Society. She was also a volunteer for The Arc of Monmouth, Tinton Falls, and a member of the N.J. Guys & Dolls Bowling League. An avid reader, she especially enjoyed works by Nora Roberts and Danielle Steele. Mrs. Lyle was predeceased by her husband, John P. Lyle, and two sons, Robert and Brian Lyle. Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Michael Caprio of Howell; two sons and three daughters-in-law, Gerard and Diane Lyle of Howell, James and Lynn Lyle of the New Egypt section of Plumsted, and Beth Lyle Vanderbeck of Point Pleasant; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. A funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Veronica's Church. Interment was private. Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, Freehold Township, was in charge of arrangements. Daniel D. Dietrich

Mr. Dietrich, 42, of Aberdeen, died March 23 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township, following a lengthy illness. He was a stockbroker in New York City for several years. Mr. Dietrich is survived by his parents, Catherine and Kenneth Dietrich of Aberdeen; two daughters, Nicole and Samantha of Belmar; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Kenneth and Christine Dietrich of Aberdeen, and John and Alison Dietrich; and several nieces and nephews. Entombment took place at St. Joseph's Mausoleum, Keyport. The Day Funeral Home, Keyport, was in charge of arrangements.

Charles S. Cokelet Sr.

Mr. Cokelet, 83, of Holmdel, died April 5 at Care One at Holmdel. Born in Keyport, he resided in Hazlet, prior to moving to Holmdel 40 years ago. He was a banker at Chase Manhattan Bank for 40 years, retiring in 1987. He served with the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a communicant of St. Benedict's Roman Catholic Church, Holmdel. He was a 55-year Life Member and past treasurer of Hazlet Fire Company No. 1, volunteer at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel, and past member of the Father's Club at Christian Brothers Academy, Lincroft section of Middletown. He was predeceased by his wife, Anna M. Cokelet in 2003. He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Maureen Cokelet Jr. of Hazlet; a daughter and son-in-law, Maryann and Keith Cheveralls of Harvard, Mass.; a brother, Lloyd Cokelet of Hackettstown; four grandchildren; and twin great-granddaughters. A funeral liturgy was at St. Benedict's Church. Interment was at St. Gabriel's Cemetery, Marlboro. Arrangements were by Day Funeral Home, Keyport. Ernest J. Raimo

Mr. Raimo, 48, of Hazlet, died April 1 at Briarwood Health Care, South Amboy. Born in Newark, he resided there prior to moving to Hazlet 14 years ago. He was a corregated designer at Schiffenhaus Packaging Inc., Newark, for 29 years. He was a communicant of Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, Union Beach. He was predeceased by a sister, Diane Raimo. He is survived by his wife, Lillian Generalli Raimo of Hazlet; a daughter, Jennifer Raimo of Hazlet; a son, Christopher Raimo of Hazlet; a sister, Shirley Brown of Lake Hiawatha; his mother, Amelia Raimo of Newark; five nieces; one nephew; and one great-niece. A funeral liturgy was held at Holy Family Church. Interment was at Fair View Cemetery, Middletown. Arrangements were by Day Funeral Home, Keyport.

Beulah "Bea" C. Applegate

Mrs. Applegate, 84, of Salisbury, Md., died April 4 at Salisbury Nursing Home. Born in Laurel, Md., she resided there, Delaware, and Keyport, prior to moving to Salisbury. She was a retired bakery department employee at ShopRite, Middletown, and prior to that, as a seamstress at a garment company in Union Beach. She was a former member of King's United Methodist Church, Delaware. She was a member of American Legion Post No. 19, Laurel, Md. She enjoyed needlework, gardening and reading. She was predeceased by her husband, Charles Edward Applegate in 1994; and two brothers, Edward Massey and Pete Massey. She is survived by a daughter, Joyce Trolian of Salisbury, Md.; a son, Kenneth Nichols of Daytona Beach, Fla.; a daughter-in-law, Rosie Nichols of New Jersey; a brother, Elwood Massey of Laurel; two sisters, Mary Kennedy and Jeannie Breeding, both Laurel; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Sandra J. Golba

Mrs. Golba, 62, of the New Monmouth section of Middletown, died April 2 at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. Born in Chicopee, Mass., she resided in New Monmouth 37 years. She was a homemaker. She is survived by her husband, Daniel Golba; a son and daughter-in-law, Glenn and Candice Golba of Atlantic Highlands; a daughter, Danielle Golba of Middletown; and two granddaughters. Joseph G. Hern

Mr. Hern, 86, of Winter Haven, Fla., died April 3 at Winter Haven (Fla.) Hospital. Born in North Bergen, he resided in Middletown, prior to moving to Winter Haven. He was a retired union laborer at Heavy & General Laborers Union, Local 472. He served with the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a communicant of St. Ann's Roman Catholic Church, Haines City, Fla. He was predeceased by his wife, Virginia. He is survived by a daughter, Kathleen Vreeland of Brockport, N.Y.; a son, Joseph G. Hern Jr. of Tallahassee, Fla.; six sisters, Helen Puglisi of Middletown, Marjorie Smith of Tinton Falls, Rita Puglisi of Keansburg, Mary DeMartin of Emerson, and Ann Hern and Claire Lanzona, both of Lakewood; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. A funeral liturgy was at St. Catherine's Roman Catholic Church, North Middletown. Burial was at Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery, Arnytown. Arrangements were by John F. Mary Facak Stefanik

Mrs. Stefanik, 85, of Matawan, died April 3 at home. Born in Czechoslovakia, she came to the United States in 1937, and resided in Brooklyn, N.Y., and Jamesburg, prior to moving to Matawan 25 years ago. She was a homemaker. She was a former member of Nativity of Our Lord Byzantine Catholic Church, East Brunswick. She was predeceased by her husband, John in 1997. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Karen Stefanik of Fairfax, Va.; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Dorothy Stefanik Appleton and Albert Appleton of New York City, Irene and Denis Bunin of Sandwich, Mass., and Jean Stefanik Miller of Orlando, Fla.; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. A funeral liturgy was held at Nativity of Our Lord Church. Interment was at Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick. Arrangements were by Brunswick Memorial Funeral Home, East Brunswick. Robert Eder

Mr. Eder, 74, of the Colonia section of Woodbridge, died April 2 at JFK Medical Center, Edison. Born in Luzerne, Pa., he had lived in Jersey City before moving to Colonia 42 years ago. He was a printer, and a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He was also a communicant of St. John Vianney Roman Catholic Church, Colonia. Surviving are his wife of 48 years, Eleanor Reynolds Eder; two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert Jr. and Audrey Eder of Marlboro, and Kenneth and Carol Eder of South Brunswick; a daughter and son-in-law, Carrie and Martin Lombardo of Clark; a brother, Fred Eder of California; and eight grandchildren. Funeral services were held at Brunswick Memorial Funeral Home, East Brunswick, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. John Vianney Church. Interment followed at St. Gertrude's Cemetery, Colonia.
