Greater Media Inc. announced that Marjory C. Guglielmo, Fair Haven, has been named general sales manager of WRAT-FM, Lake Como. Guglielmo has been with the New Jersey operation nine years.

Prior to that, she was general sales manager at Oldies 100, a senior account executive at WRAT-FM, and was employed at CBS in New York.

"I'm so happy and excited to be back as the Rat enters its 10th year," said Guglielmo.

Guglielmo is the current president of the Jersey Shore Public Relations Association. She received a bachelor of science in business administration degree in marketing and communications from Villanova University, Villanova, Pa.

Greater Media Inc. is the parent company of 19 AM and FM radio stations in the Boston, Detroit, New Jersey and Philadelphia markets, and owns a modern printing plant and a group of weekly newspapers in central New Jersey as well as several telecommunications towers located throughout the United States.

WithumSmith&Brown (WS&B), Certified Public Accountants and Consultants, has announced the addition of Vagif Isakhanli as a staff accountant in its New Brunswick office. Isakhanli received a with a bachelor's degree in international relations at Istanbul (Turkey) University, and master's of business administration degree in accounting at Rutgers University, New Brunswick. A resident of the Belford section of Middletown, he has experience in auditing and tax, with a specialization in the insurance and textile industries.

Mathnasium of Middletown, Fountain Ridge Plaza, 1676 Route 35 south, will welcome mathematics guru Larry Martinek, who will present a seminar on math learning techniques May 4 at 7 p.m. Parents and children are welcome to the free seminar; seating is limited. Bayshore Community Health Services and Brookdale Community College will present "The New Jersey Women's Experience" May 12 from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Brookdale's Warner Student Life Center, Lincroft section of Middletown. Speaker Pamela Redmond Satran, a contributing editor at Glamour and Parenting magazines, will present "A 'What-If' Women's Journey." Singer and comedian Christine Lavin will also present "A Musical Journey." Workshops will focus on topics such as conflict management, art, fashion, and sleep disorders. The Middletown Department of Parks, Recreation & Cultural Affairs, and Brookdale Community College, Lincroft section of Middletown, both received the 2006 Monmouth County Recreation Award for the program "United in Memory." The special event featured the 142-square 9/11 Memorial Quilt, which Middletown Township wanted to bring to its residents for viewing, and was displayed at Brookdale. Middletown Mayor Rosemary Peters accepted the award. Awards were given to volunteers, programs, and park facilities in Monmouth County towns, and recognized efforts in the provision of park and recreation services.

Mike's Barber Shop, 669 Newman Springs Road, Lincroft section of Middletown, invites children in the local autistic community to submit artwork such as photography, poetry, or weaving, to be framed and displayed in the shop. In conjunction with a program set up by Suzann Brucato, owner of Work Smarter Now, the works will be scanned and sent to KindTree Productions for display on a dedicated Web page for New Jersey artisans. Work Smarter will provide a dedicated link to purchase note cards and other products containing these images, with 50 percent of sales given back to the artists.

The Monmouth/Ocean Chapter of the New Jersey Association of Woman Business Owners (NJAWBO) has announced Dawn M. Nakash as its chapter winner of The Business Woman of the Year Award honoring a woman business owner that is a member and has distinguished herself in her business, NJAWBO, and the community. Nakash served two terms as vice president of marketing for the chapter, and serves as president-elect. She also co-chairs its holiday auction. Her community involvement includes the Georgian Court University Scholarship Fund, Diocese of Trenton, and Good News Ministry. Barbara Davis Employment Services, 68 White St., Red Bank, in conjunction with the United Way of Monmouth County, will hold a monthlong "Baby Bundle Drive" through May 5 to assist mothers and families in need in Monmouth County. Donations of everyday infant and baby supplies are needed, and all donated items must be brand new. Needed are diapers, baby bottles, strollers, car seats, and other items. The Jersey Shore Partnership Inc., Sandy Hook, will honor Harold J. Ravech, president of Stevens Institute of Technology, Hoboken, and Stevens Institute, at its celebration, "A Taste of the Sea" May 22 at Merri Makers at Water's Edge, Sea Bright. Ravech will be honored with the Partnership's Tom Gagliano Award for the university's groundbreaking work on issues such as shore protection and ocean monitoring.
