Beers St., Holmdel, will present "Understanding Memory Loss" May 9 at 7 p.m. The free lecture will be sponsored by the Alzheimer's Association and will explore the difference between normal age-related memory changes and abnormal changes associated with Alzheimer's. Atlantic Highlands Wellness Center, 68 First Ave., will present "Holistic Wellness and Support for Pregnancy" May 13 from noon to 3 p.m. The free workshop is open to women who are pregnant, planning to start a family, or recently gave birth. Topics include tips, tools and methods of support and wellness to use before, during and after pregnancy. Presenters will include acupuncturist Julie Simser and chiropractor Laura Jones. Jersey Shore Partnership Inc., Sandy Hook, will honor State Secretary of Agriculture Charles M. Kuperus and the Department of Agriculture at its annual summer celebration, "A Taste of the Sea," May 22 at Merri Makers at Water's Edge, Sea Bright. Kuperus and the Department will receive the Outstanding Partner Award for leadership in promoting the state's seafood industry. Kuperus worked to strengthen the industry by including seafood in the "Jersey Fresh" program.
