Business Briefs Laura Black, Ocean Township, has been named branch sales manager by United Teletech Financial Federal Credit Union (UTF), Tinton Falls. She will head the Middletown, Holmdel and Lincroft locations, and be responsible for leading and directing all branch sales activities as well as day-to-day operations. A registered financial representative, Black has been at UTF seven years and previously worked as a financial service representative at UTF for five years. Prior to that, she was involved in customer service for 19 years. Black holds a series 663 life and health certification from Brookdale Community College, Lincroft section of Middletown.
Noreen Bodman, Red Bank, has been elected and inducted as secretary of the New Jersey Travel Industry Association (NJTIA), Trenton. Bodman's firm is the Jersey Shore Partnership, Middletown, a member of the NJTIA. Bodman will serve as secretary until 2007 and work to enhance the efforts of NJTIA in promoting travel and tourism in the state.
Donna Boyd, West Keansburg section of Hazlet, was recognized for achieving the highest sales in the month of April as a part-time consultant for the Chamonix Home Party and Direct Sales Division, Edison. Assemblywoman Amy Handlin (R-13) will host an open house for constituents June 3 from 9:30-11 a.m. at her office at 890 Main St., Belford section of Middletown. Marie Santos, Hazlet, has been awarded the Development Achievement Award from the New Jersey Center for Outreach and Services for the Autism Community, Ewing. Santos was honored for giving her time and resources to make a difference in the lives of individuals with autism, and was selected for her dedication, caring and generosity.
Monmouth County Sheriff Joseph W. Oxley was sworn in May 24 as president of the American Jail Association at the Association's annual conference in Salt Lake City. Oxley, a resident of Middletown, has been an active member of AJA since 1996, and has served as Monmouth County Sheriff since 1996. "I look forward to continuing the legacy of our past presidents who diligently ensured that the American Jail Association promoted excellence in corrections through contemporary education and training," said Oxley. His career in public service began as an assistant prosecutor in the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office. Oxley served on the Middletown Township Committee from 1993-95, and as mayor in 1994. He is a graduate of the University of Maryland, and earned a juris doctorate degree at the Delaware Law School of Widener University n Wilmington, Delaware.
CPC Behavioral Healthcare, Eatontown, raised more than $97,000 to support its mental health programs for children and families at its annual gala event in early May. The event was held at McLoone's Pier House, Long Branch. It was co-chaired by Diane Aifer, Colts Neck, and Lisa Goodwyn and Roseann Paone, both of Rumson.
