Arthur Sidney Jeal

Mr. Jeal, 69, of the Belford section of Middletown, died June 25 at Avanti Nursing Home, Red Bank. Born in Jersey City, he resided in Bayonne before moving to Belford 41 years ago. Mr. Jeal was an inspector for Housing and Urban Development in Middletown for 20 years, retiring in 2000. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, John and Linda Jeal of Shrewsbury; a daughter and son-in-law, Mary Claire and Thomas Louk of Belford; and two granddaughters. A funeral service will be held June 28 at 10 a.m. at the John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, Middletown. Burial will follow at Fair View Cemetery, Middletown.

Edward C. Worden III

Mr. Worden, 64, of Ocean Township, died June 23 at home. Born in Wilmington, Del., he resided in Claymont, Del., and Fair Haven before moving to Ocean Township. Mr. Worden was a writer at American Metal Market, New York City, for 15 years, retiring in 2002. Prior to that, he was a reporter for the Elizabeth Daily Journal. He served with the U.S. Army National Guard. He was a former member of Red Bank Elks Lodge 233 and a former member of Toastmasters International. He was named the 1985 Big Brother of the Year by Big Brothers Big Sisters of Monmouth County. Mr. Worden is survived by his wife of 34 years, Eleanor Yates Worden; two stepdaughters, Leslie Mader of Middletown and Connie Bowden of Blacksburg, Va.; two sisters, Velita Worden of Nevada City, Calif., and Vickie Worden of Bel Air, Md.; and six step-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held June 30 at 11 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church at Tower Hill in Red Bank. The Thompson Memorial Home, Red Bank, is in charge of arrangements. Robert J. Hummer Sr.

Mr. Hummer, 73, of New Milford, Pa., died June 16 at Muhlenberg Regional Hospital, Plainfield. Born in the Cliffwood Beach section of Old Bridge, he resided in Keyport, prior to moving to New Milford 14 years ago. He was a math and science teacher for the Holmdel School District for 28 years, retiring in 1988. He served with the U.S. Coast Guard. He was a member and charter member of St. John's United Methodist Church, Hazlet. He was a member of the American Legion, Keyport, and Hallstead, Pa. He was predeceased by his first wife, Margaret M. Lucey Gormley Hummer; his third wife, Sharon Harms-Hilton Hummer; and a grandchild. He is survived by eight sons, Michael Gormley of Oregon, John Gormley of California, Robert J. Hummer Jr. of Bridgewater, William G. Hummer of the Belford section of Middletown, Joe Linde of Manasquan, Roy Hilton Jr. of Florida, and Glenn Hilton and Todd Hilton, both of Keansburg; three daughters, Veronica Denardo of Aberdeen, Robyn Hilton of Washington, and Lisa Whittle of Asbury Park; a sister, Terri Corkin of Hazlet; his second wife, Joan Kenny of Tinton Falls; 22 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Arrangements were by Day Funeral Home, Keyport.

Margaret Elizabeth Price

Mrs. Price, 91, of Ocala, Fla., died June 6 at Legacy House Hospice of Marion County, Ocala. Born in Belleville, she resided in Bloomfield and Middletown before moving to Ocala two years ago. She was a member of King of Kings Lutheran Church, Middletown, where she was the altar guild director for 15 years and taught Sunday school for 25 years. Mrs. Price was predeceased by her husband of 54 years, George O. Price, in 1987; and a son, Wayne G. Price, in 1935. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Jill and Richard Bennett of Ocala; one granddaughter; and two great-grandchildren. A memorial service was held at King of Kings Church. Interment took place at Fair View Cemetery, Middletown. The John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, Middletown, was in charge of arrangements.

Martha Mary Mack Keigher

Mrs. Keigher, 78, of Neptune, died June 15 at Jersey Shore Medical Center, Neptune. Born in Newark, she resided in Middletown, prior to moving to Neptune 30 years ago. She was a registered nurse and administrative coordinator at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel, for 30 years, retiring in 1994, and working part-time until 2004. She was a Third Order Carmelite. She was predeceased by a brother, Charles Keigher Jr. She is survived by four sons and three daughters-in-law, Thomas and Carolyn Keigher of North Carolina, Philip and Tammy Keigher of the Leonardo section of Middletown, Michael and Judy Keigher of Massachusetts, and James Keigher of Neptune; one daughter and son-in-law, Maryellen and Chet Tremper of Massachusetts; two brothers and one sister-in-law, William Mack of Middletown, and James and Alida Mack of Ocean Township; a sister and brother-in-law, Patricia and George Bruder of Egg Harbor; and eight grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Catherine's Roman Catholic Church, North Middletown. Burial was at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Middletown. Arrangements were by John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, Middletown. Memorial donations may be made to St. Benedict's Center, P.O. Box 1000, Still River, MA 01467.

Regina M. Rock

Mrs. Rock, 82, of Toms River, died June 15 at Community Memorial Hospital, Toms River. Born in Jersey City, she resided there prior to moving to Toms River 15 years ago. She was an inspector at Western Electric, Kearny, for several years, retiring in 1984. She enjoyed shuffleboard and played in a league in Toms River. She was predeceased by a grandson, John Henry Rock in 2000. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, John and Ann Rock of Middletown; a sister, Theresa Kloby of Toms River; a brother, Raymond Rakowski of Bayonne; and a granddaughter. A funeral liturgy was held at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, New Monmouth section of Middletown. Burial was at Greenwood Cemetery, Tuckerton. Arrangements were by John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, Middletown.

Walter John Hodnovich

Mr. Hodnovich, 85, of Clearwater, Fla., died June 17 at Hospice Woodside, Pinellas Park, Fla. Born in Secaucus, he resided in Middletown, prior to moving to Clearwater 14 years ago. He was a driver at Paul's Trucking, Woodbridge, for 20 years, retiring in 1990. He served with the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. He was a communicant of St. Cecilia's Roman Catholic Church, Clearwater. He was a member of the Republican National Committee. He was predeceased by his first wife, Jean Joyce Matthews 15 years ago. He is survived by his wife of 14 yeas, Irene Matthews Hodnovich; two sons, Edward Hodnovich of Brick Township, and Robert Hodnovich of Middletown; a daughter, Ann Paris of Bayonne; a sister, Connie Viviani of Secaucus; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. A funeral liturgy was held at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, New Monmouth section of Middletown. Burial was at Fair View Cemetery, Middletown. Arrangements were by John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, Middletown.

Margaret Delaney

Miss Delaney, 89, of Holmdel, died June 18 at Bayshore Health Care Center, Holmdel. Born in Hoboken, she resided in Toms River, prior to moving to Holmdel five years ago. She was a retired employee in the accounting department at Shulton Company, Clifton, where she was employed 40 years. She was predeceased by two brothers, Francis and Martin; and a sister, Mary Meisse. She is survived by a brother, William Delaney of the Cliffwood Beach section of Old Bridge; 11 nieces; and several great-nieces and great-nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. Lawrence Roman Catholic Church, Laurence Harbor. Interment was at Holy Name Cemetery, Jersey City. Arrangements were by The Gundrum Service Home for Funeral, South Amboy.

Robert J. McIsaac

Mr. McIsaac, 65, of Union Beach, died June 19 at his daughter's home in Union Beach. Born in Staten Island, N.Y., he resided there prior to moving to Union Beach 33 years ago. He was a sand hog at Local 147, Tunnel Workers, the Bronx, N.Y., for 25 years, retiring in 1988. He was predeceased by his father, John McIsaac; and two sisters, Marie McIsaac and Margaret McIsaac. He is survived by his mother, Mary Collins McIsaac of Holmdel; his wife, Patricia Pede McIsaac; two sons, Robert McIsaac of Staten Island, and Ronald McIsaac of Red Bank; a daughter and son-in-law, Dawn and Jeff Bonomo of Union Beach; three brothers, John McIsaac of Brooklyn, N.Y., Ronald McIsaac of Staten Island, and James McIsaac of Chatham; two sisters, Veronica Nicoliesen and Claire McIsaac of Florida; and two grandchildren. Arrangements were by Day Funeral Home, Keyport.

William M. Connallon

Mr. Connallon, of Middletown, died June 23 at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. Born in New York City, he resided in Roselle before moving to Shadow Lake Village. Before his retirement, Mr. Connallon was a mechanical engineer at Texas Liquids Ltd., Middlesex. Prior to that, he was director of Union County College Security Forces, where he was employed 10 years. He had also retired with the rank of captain from the Roselle Police Department, where he had been employed 30 years. He served with the Army Air Corps in the European theater during World War II and was awarded the Air Medal and European African Middle Eastern Service Medal. He organized and formed the Roselle Color Guard. Mr. Connallon was a life member of the Knights of Columbus, and a member of Red Bank Elks Lodge No. 233 and the Holy Name Society. He pitched in the 1939 World's Fair in New York and was inducted into the New Jersey Softball Hall of Fame. He was predeceased by a son, Thomas Andrew; and his siblings, Mary Robson, Margaret Decamp, and James, Michael, Peter and Richard Connallon. Mr. Connallon is survived by his wife, Dorothy Daley; a son, William R.; two daughters and one son-in-law, Joseph and Marycatherine Noble, and Dorothyann; two sisters, Eleanor Zub and Jean Harrington; and seven grandchildren. A Mass of the Resurrection was celebrated at St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church, Red Bank, followed by interment at St. Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia. Casimir F. "Charlie" Pruchnik

Mr. Pruchnik, 87, of the Belford section of Middletown, died June 23 at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. Born in Winber, Pa., he resided in Union Beach before moving to Belford 31 years ago. He owned and operated with his brother, Stanley, The Old Boat House Tavern, Union Beach. He served with the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a member of the Holy Family Roman Catholic Church Senior Citizens Club, Union Beach, and the Middletown Ramblers. Mr. Pruchnik is survived by his wife of 63 years, Jean Zychlinski Pruchnik; a daughter and son-in-law, Mary Anne and Don Strickland of Pittsburgh; two sons and daughters-in-law, John and Roseann Pruchnik of Toms River, and Robert and Eileen Pruchnik of Middletown; two sisters, Helen Skripko of Piscataway and Stella Smith of Beverly Hills, Fla.; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. A funeral liturgy was celebrated at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, New Monmouth section of Middletown, followed by burial at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Middletown. The John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, Middletown, was in charge of arrangements.
