The Central Jersey Chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO Central Jersey) will host a networking event 6-8 p.m. July 17 at Architectural Accents, 335 Broadway, Long Branch. NAWBO members and prospective members are invited to attend the event to meet and network with other business owners in the area. The cost is $20 for nonmembers and $15 for members. The nonprofit Prevention First, Ocean Township, has received a $4,000 donation from The Citigroup Foundation. The foundation works with nonprofits to support programs in the areas of financial education, educating the next generation, and building communities and entrepreneurs. The donation will be used to help fund the agency's prevention education programs and services. Prevention First provides research-based preventative educational programs that furnish parents, teachers and community/business leaders with tools to help children make responsible decisions.
