Neves Jewelers, Aberdeen, announced the addition of Jennifer Neves, Gemological Institute of America (GIA), to its staff. Neves is an owner, designer and stylist at the establishment. Neves works primarily with diamonds as well as silver, beads, precious stones, gold and platinum. She received her degree in jewelry design at Rochester (N.Y.) Institute of Technology, and earned a graduate gemologist degree at the Gemological Institute of America. Neves has branches in Woodbridge, Aberdeen and Shrewsbury
OceanFirst Bank is once again participating in the Salvation Army's Angel Giving Tree program. Through Dec. 11, every OceanFirst Bank branch will have a holiday tree in its lobby adorned with angel tags. Each tag will display the age and gender of a child whose family is being served by the Salvation Army. Customers and members of the public are welcome to take a tag, purchase a gift and return it with the tag attached, to their local OceanFirst Bank. The Salvation Army asks that all gifts be new and unopened.
Joseph Cangelosi, Tinton Falls, has joined The Provident Bank as vice president in its commercial lending division. He is based at Provident's Loan Center, Woodbridge. He will assist businesses in Monmouth and Ocean counties with commercial loans, including lines of credit, equipment financing and owner occupied commercial mortgages. Prior to joining Provident, Cangelosi was at Commerce Bank for six years. He received his bachelor of science in finance at University of Rhode Island, Providence. Provident Bank has branches in Keyport and Ocean Township.
SALTA International Inc., Middletown, has announced the relocation of its headquarters to 68 White St., Red Bank. SALTA produces and markets textiles and full-package apparel products.
The company has also announced Cindy Newell as its new director of global sourcing and production management. Newell has more than 24 years' experience in developing and sourcing products, with a focus on children's apparel. Prior to joining SALTA, she was sourcing manager at Lands' End.
The Matawan-Aberdeen Chamber of Commerce will hold its annual holiday party Dec. 12 at 6 p.m. at Buttonwood Manor, 845 Route 34, Matawan. There will be three entrees to choose from; there will also be entertainment. The cost is $30 for members and $35 for guests.
