Devastation still evident in Mississippi
      Last week I and nine other AmeriCorps members of New Jersey Public Interest Research Group's Community Water Watch took a service trip down to Mississippi. We went to help with the continued rebuilding effort in an area that, a year later, is still ravaged from Hurricane Katrina.

Award-winning plan was dismantled by Republicans
      On Oct. 25, Holmdel was given a Merit Award by the Monmouth County Planning Board for Holmdel's master plan amendments. These amendments addressed the planning and development of the last remaining undeveloped tracts of land in the southwest corner of the township.
