Audition applications for New Jersey Performing Arts Center's seventh annual Young Artist Talent Search can be obtained online at www.njpac.org or by calling the Talent Search Hotline at (973) 353-8009. Early application deadline is Jan. 15. NJPAC's Arts Education Department provides artistically talented young performers opportunities to audition for approximately 300 openings in any of its five arts training programs. Auditions will take place March 24-25.

The State Theatre is seeking 14 talented amateur acts to perform for its first "Showtime at the Apollo on Tour," to be held Feb. 10 at 8 p.m. Performers and entertainers of all kinds (solos, duos, trios and groups) are welcome to audition. The producers are seeking vocalists, musicians, dancers, comedians, rappers, spoken-word artists and more. A total of 300 acts will be seen. Auditioners must bring their own tracks (CD preferred). Clean comedy routines with no profanity. Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
