Bayview Elementary School, 300 Leonardville Road, Belford section of Middletown, will hold a "Shop 'Til You Drop" bazaar March 10 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The free bazaar will feature approximately 45 vendors offering items such as jewelry and pocketbooks, and brand items such as American Girl doll clothes, and Buddy Bears. Pictures with the Easter bunny will be taken from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Vendor spaces are also still available priced at $75 for two 6-foot spaces, or $50 for one, and vendors must supply tables. COFFEE program slated for March 1 in Lincroft
Lincroft Bible Church's Women's Circle of Friends for Encouragement & Education (COFFEE) program will hold its next program March 1 from 9:30-11:30 a.m. at the church at 790 Newman Springs Road, Lincroft section of Middletown. Guest speaker Michael Mangini, an estate planning attorney, will present "Estate Planning Do's and Don'ts." The program is free and open to all women. A special audio tour of the Monmouth County Arts Council (MCAC) Juried Art Show will allow audiences with low vision or visual impairments to enjoy a firsthand experience of the art exhibit. Thanks to the Community Foundation of Monmouth County, The New Jersey Blind Citizen Association, in collaboration with MCAC, has created and donated an audio description of the 28th annual juried art show and sale. Providing the technology to record and edit the audio tour, Tom Brennan of 90.5 The Night was instrumental in MCAC's initiative to enable many more people with sight loss or impairments to enjoy the exhibit. The 18-minute audio description concentrates on information on the show, juror and artists, as well as the visual appeal of the artwork. It is narrated by Sue Ferraro, at teacher at Camp Happiness. Several sculptors have also granted permission to allow visually impaired visitors to touch the artist's work. Listening devices are available at the museum on the campus of Brookdale Community College, Lincroft section of Middletown. Rhythm Kings Dixieland Band at church Feb. 25
First Presbyterian Church of Matawan, 883 Route 34, will welcome the Rhythm Kings Dixieland Band Feb. 25 at 5 p.m. The event will also include a chili and cornbread supper. The band consists of saxophonist Jerry Rife, as well as trumpet, baritone sax, trombone, tuba, drums and banjo. Tickets are $8, $6 for youth and seniors, and $4 for children younger than age 10. The Community YMCA, Middletown, invites students in grades six through 12 to take part in the Black Achievers initiative program focusing on character development and to introduce youth to positive role models in the community. Students meet Tuesdays at 3:30 p.m., and one Saturday per month at the Count Basie Achievement Center, The Community YMCA, 138 Drs. James Parker Blvd., Red Bank. Holmdel nonprofit holding guitar drive Sylvia's Children, Holmdel, is holding a guitar drive for children in Masaka, Uganda. The nonprofit was founded in 2004 by Sylvia Allen in an effort to feed, clothe and house orphans in Masaka.
