'Child find' to be held by Middletown schools

Parents with a child ages 3-21 who may be experiencing physical, sensory, communication, cognitive or social difficulty are asked to call the Middletown Township School District at (732) 671-3850, exts. 1034, 1035, 1037 or 1038 to arrange an appointment and/or referral to a child study team. The school district is responsible for locating and evaluating all children who may be disabled. Children who attend either private or public school or are highly mobile such as migrant and homeless students are included in the township's "child find."

Preschool children, including homeless and migrant attaining age 3 within the next year, and children, including homeless and migrant, between age 3-5, should contact the Office of Pupil Services.

A school-age child, including homeless and migrant, age 6-21 should contact the school principal and/or guidance counselor.
