Holmdel's Longstreet Farm now back open

The Monmouth County Park System has announced Longstreet Farm, Longstreet Road, Holmdel, reopened March 3 for guided tours after being closed for cleaning and maintenance.

Tours will be given weekends and holiday afternoons through Dec. 31. Farm hours are 10 a.m.-4 p.m. daily, and the farm is open from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Memorial Day through Labor Day.

Pastor's anniversary

celebration March 11

The Rev. Anthony L. Hodges, pastor at Second Baptist Church, 45 Orchard St., Matawan, will celebrate his fourth pastoral anniversary March 11 at 3:30 p.m. Guest preacher will be the Rev. Dr. Lowell McCown, Horsham, Pa., and music will be provided by United Mass Choir of Monmouth and adjacent counties. All are invited to attend. Pez program at Mat-Ab Library March 9

Matawan-Aberdeen Public Library, 165 Main St., Matawan, will host the "Pezitively Wonderful World of Collecting Pez Dispensers" March 9 from 3:30-4:30 p.m.

The free program is for children age 11 and older. Participants will lean about Pez history and value, and see samples from Japan and Europe as well as limited edition and misprint samples.

"A Musical Menagerie" will be presented March 22 at 7 p.m., and "The State Health Insurance and Assistance Program (SHIP)" March 23 at 2:30 p.m. Both are free.
