Stephen H. Frazee

Mr. Frazee, 69, of Keansburg, died April 14, 2007, at home. Born in South Amboy, he resided in Keansburg most of his life. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of electrical Workers, Local 358, retiring in 1979 due to complications with diabetes. He enjoyed spending time with his family. He was predeceased by a sister, Patricia Van Winkle. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Sarah Frazee; a daughter, Margaret Ann Benbow of Keansburg; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Tony and Arlene Frazee of Keansburg, and Dwight and Joan Frazee of Toms River; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Elizabeth and Dominic Zambardo of Toms River, Joan and Robert Lovelace of Florida, and Zabelle Straniero of Holmdel; and two grandchildren. Visitation will be April 18 from 7-9 p.m., and April 19 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, Middletown. A funeral service will be April 20 at 8:30 a.m. at the funeral home, followed by a funeral liturgy at 9:15 a.m. at St. Ann's Roman Catholic Church, Keansburg. Burial will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Middletown.

Henrietta L. Browne

Mrs. Browne, 85, of the Belford section of Middletown, died April 10, 2007, in Irvington, Va. Born in New Rochelle, N.Y., she had resided in Belford for more than 46 years. She was employed in the information systems and engineering division at Fort Monmouth, Eatontown, for 25 years, retiring in 1977. She was a communicant of St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, New Monmouth section of Middletown. Mrs. Browne was predeceased by her husband, John W. Browne, in 1997. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, John and Susan Browne of Springfield, Va. A funeral liturgy was held at St. Mary's Church, followed by entombment at Fair View Mausoleum, Middletown. Arrangements were by John W. Pfleger Funeral Home, Middletown.

Hector Acevedo

Mr. Acevedo, 82, of Middletown, died April 6, 2007, at Arnold Walter Nursing Home, Holmdel. Born in Puerto Rico, he came to the United States in 1931, and resided in New York City and Red Bank prior to relocating to Middletown. He was employed in housekeeping at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank, for several years, retiring in 1984. He served with the U.S. Army 8th Air Corps during World War II. He is survived by two sisters, Margaret Mahler of Middletown, and Anna A. White of New Orleans;two nephews; and three nieces.

Louis J. DiGirolamo Sr.

Mr. DiGirolamo, 101, of Barnegat, died April 14, 2007, at his son's home. Born in Jersey City, he resided in Keyport and Holmdel prior to relocating to Barnegat in 2001. A lithographer and sign letterer, he was employed at Union Local 1, New York City, for 40 years, retiring in 1968. He was also employed at Hopp Printing Press, New York City, and was a self-employed farmer. He was an Air Warden in Keyport during world War II. He was a former communicant of St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Keyport, and St. Benedict's Roman Catholic Church, Holmdel. He was one of the founding member of Keyport Knights of Columbus Council 3402 where he was a 4th Degree Knight. His memberships included Bayshore Italian American Association, Holmdel Seniors, Matawan Italian American Association, and Amalgamated Lithographers of America. He was predeceased by his wife of 68 years, Anna Stanzione DiGirolamo. He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Louis J. and Kathleen DiGirolamo Jr. of Pemberton, and Michael and Debbie DiGirolamo of Barnegat; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be April 18 at 9:15 a.m. at Day Funeral Home, Keyport. Burial will follow at Holmdel Cemetery. Geraldine T. Colby

Mrs. Colby, 79, of Middletown, died April 10, 2007, at Laurel Bay Care Center, Keansburg. Born in Queens, N.Y., she had resided in Rockaway Beach, N.Y., before relocating to the Red Bank area in 1958. She taught business courses at Mater Dei High School, New Monmouth section of Middletown, from 1970 to 1984. Prior to that, she was employed at the Middletown Sewage Authority. Mrs. Colby was a Republican County Committee member from 1960 to 1968, a former secretary of the Middletown Republican Club, and a legislative aide to Sen. Joseph Azzolina. She was predeceased by her husband of 36 years, William A. Colby, in 1987; and three sisters, Patricia Malone, Margaret Neidecker and Eileen Lawlor. She is survived by two daughters and one son-in-law, Katie Colby, and Ellen and Bob Fallon, all of Middletown; two sons and one daughter-in-law, William A. Colby Jr. of Matawan, and James and Catherine Colby of Holmdel; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. A funeral liturgy was offered at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, followed by burial at Mount Olivet Cemetery, both in Middletown. Arrangements were by John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, Middletown. Rita D. Tiernan

Mrs. Tiernan, 72, of Middletown, died April 10, 2007, at home. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., she resided in Rockland County, N.Y., before relocating to Middletown four years ago. She was a communicant of St. Gregory's Roman Catholic Church, Rockland County, where she was a Eucharistic minister and also worked with the Marriage Encounter and the Teens Encountering Christ programs. She was predeceased by her husband of 31 years, John Tiernan; a daughter, Laura; and a brother, Donald Morrill. She is survived by three sons and two daughters-in-law, Kevin and Deanna Tiernan, Thomas Tiernan, and John and Katharine Tiernan; three sisters, Doris Rael, Margaret Silano and Arlene Wrenn; four brothers, William Morrill, Robert Morrill, Joseph Morrill and Raymond Morrill; a granddaughter; and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, New Monmouth section of Middletown. Burial was at Fair View Cemetery, Middletown. Arrangements were by John F. Mary D. Baker Coffey

Mrs. Coffey, 88, of Hazlet, died April 7, 2007, at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. Born in Newark, she resided in Union Beach for 39 years, prior to relocating to Hazlet 14 years ago. She was a homemaker. She was a communicant of Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, Union Beach. She was predeceased by her husband, Raymond T. Coffey in 1982. She is survived by a son, John Coffey of Hazlet. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at Holy Family Church. Interment was at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Keyport. Arrangements were by Day Funeral Home, Keyport.

Anthony F. Palermo

Mr. Palermo, 88, of Hazlet, died April 11, 2007, at home. Born in Philadelphia, he moved to Hazlet 50 years ago. He was an inspector at the U.S. Division of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, Newark, for 41 years, retiring in 1978. He served with the U.S. Army during World War II. Mr. Palermo was a communicant of Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, Union Beach, where he was a member of its Golden Age Club. He was also a member of the Hazlet Seniors. He was predeceased by a daughter, Angela Palermo, in 1988. Surviving are his wife of 61 years, Evangeline Stampone Palermo; three sons and daughters-in-law, Anthony and Donna Palermo of Brick, Nicholas and Dianna Palermo of the Port Monmouth section of Middletown, and Richard and Nancy Palermo of Matawan; six grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at Holy Family Church. Entombment was at St. Joseph's Mausoleum, Keyport. Arrangements were by Day Funeral Home, Keyport.

Madeline Castry

Mrs. Castry, 86, of Red Bank, died April 12, 2007, at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. Born in Staten Island, N.Y., she resided in Charlotte, N.C., prior to relocating to Red Bank nine years ago. She was employed in the food service department at St. John's University, Staten Island, retiring in 1985. She was a former communicant of St. James Roman Catholic Church, Red Bank. She was predeceased by her husband of 48 years, George D. Castry; two brothers, Joseph and Nicholas; and four sisters, Jean, Rose, Marie and Louise. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Debra and Bill Murphy of Middletown; two brothers-in-law, Carmine Arcolio and James Litrell; and two grandchildren. A Mss of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. James Church. Interment was at Fair View Cemetery, Middletown. Arrangements were by John E. Day Funeral Home, Red Bank. Grace M. Bivona Graziano

Mrs. Graziano, 93, of Old Bridge, died April 12, 2007, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Born in New York City, she had resided in Brooklyn, N.Y., before relocating to Old Bridge 10 years ago. Mrs. Graziano was a homemaker. She was a communicant of St. Lawrence Roman Catholic Church, Laurence Harbor. She was a member of Club 60, Matawan, and the Old Bridge Seniors. Mrs. Graziano is survived by her husband, Joseph Graziano; a daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and John Sefel of Hazlet; a sister, Mary Lou Cupani of Hollywood, Fla.; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Agnes Marie Rosato Pilate

Mrs. Pilate, 65, of Hazlet, died April 12, 2007, at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Born in the Cliffwood section of Aberdeen, she had resided in Matawan prior to relocating to Hazlet 33 years ago. Mrs. Pilate was a homemaker. She was a communicant of Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, Union Beach. She was predeceased by her father, Frank Rosato. She is survived by her husband, Walter Pilate; her mother, Stella Grande Rosato of Hazlet; three daughters, Susan Pilate of Yardley, Pa., Sheryl Lynn Francisco of Union Beach, and Tina Marie Pilate of Hazlet; a sister, Veronica Potenza of Freehold; a brother, Frank Rosato of Union Beach; and five grandchildren. Michael Dasaro

Mr. Dasaro, 69, of Middletown, died April 13, 2007, at St. Barnabas Hospice, Long Branch, following a battle with cancer. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he had resided in Keansburg before relocating to Middletown. Mr. Dasaro was employed with the National Guard and the GSA, Newark, and Fort Monmouth, Eatontown, retiring in 1990. Following his retirement, he was employed at Arrow Limousine and at Marion Security, Red Bank. He served with the U.S. Army from 1955 to 1958 in Germany. He was a life member of the Benevolent & Protective Order of Elks No. 2179, Middletown. Mr. Dasaro is survived by his wife of 39 years, Kathleen Naughton Dasaro; a daughter, Julia S. Dasaro-Drescher and her husband, Frank, of the Belford section of Middletown; a son and daughter-in-law, Michael N. and Patricia Dasaro of Holmdel; a brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Patricia Dasaro of Jericho, Vt.; a sister and brother-in-law, Mary Jane and Jack Freeman of Whiting; and four grandchildren. Janet K. Cusick

Mrs. Cusick, 76, of Fair Haven, died April 14, 2007, at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. She resided in Atlantic Highlands prior to relocating to Fair Haven 56 years ago. She was a 50-year communicant of church of the Nativity, Fair Haven. She enjoyed time with her family. She was also an avid fan of the Atlanta Braves, and enjoyed NASCAR racing. She was predeceased by a brother, Frank. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Thomas P.; two sons and daughters-in-law, Thomas and Valerie of Fair Haven, and Kevin and Marilyn of Neptune; three daughters and sons-in-law, Kathleen and Charles Pickler of the Belford section of Middletown, Laurie and Don Garrido of Wall, and Colleen and William Schulster of Fair Haven; a sister, Joyce Mount of the Navesink section of Middletown; and 11 grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at Church of the Nativity. Interment was at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Middletown. Arrangements were by Thompson Memorial Home, Red Bank. Al Flamenbaum

Mr. Flamenbaum, 72, of Toms River, died April 14 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune. Born in queens, N.Y., he resided in Staten Island, N.Y., and the Lincroft section of Middletown, prior to retiring to Toms River in 1999. He was vice president at Barclays Bank, New York City, for 36 years. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Carolyn Dinger Flamenbaum; two daughters and sons-in-law, Caroline E. and Robert O'Connell, and Dina A. and Marc Hershey; a sister-in-law, Betty Dinger; four grandchildren; and a nephew. Richard John Jehn

Mr. Jehn, 65, of Manalapan, died April 4, 2007, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Born in Milwaukee, he had lived in Hazlet for 23 years before moving to Manalapan 16 years ago. He was a communicant of Our Lady of Mercy Roman Catholic Church, Englishtown. Mr. Jehn was a Monmouth County corrections officer in Freehold for 20 years before retiring in 2000 with the rank of sergeant. He was a U.S. Navy veteran. He was a former member of the Hazlet Volunteer Fire Company. Surviving are his wife of 45 years, Marie; a son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Gina of Tinton Falls; two daughters and sons-in-law, Susan and Lee Salisbury of South Brunswick, and Kathy Lynn and Michael Downey of Aberdeen; a brother, James of Florida; two sisters, JoAnn Brandao of Hazlet and Susan Strocker of Milwaukee; and seven grandchildren. A funeral service was held at Freeman Manalapan-Marlboro Funeral Home, Manalapan, followed by interment at Shoreland Cemetery, Hazlet.
