John Incandela

Mr. Incandela, 96, of Middletown, died April 21, 2007, at home. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he resided in Middletown the past 45 years. He was a mechanic and welder at Broadway Maintenance, Long Island City, N.Y., for 35 years, retiring in 1976. He enjoyed working on cars and lawnmowers. He was predeceased by his wife, Sylvia Sandpietro Incandela in 1985; and his five sisters. He is survived by two sons and one daughter-in-law, Joseph Incandela of Spring Lake, and Frank and Johann Incandela of the Bronx, N.Y.; a daughter and son-in-law, Grace and Frank Fratello of the Belford section of Middletown; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. A funeral liturgy will be April 25 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, New Monmouth section of Middletown. Entombment will follow at St. John's Cemetery, Queens, N.Y. Arrangements are by John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, Middletown.

Steven Beau Ketchie Jr.

Mr. Ketchie, 26, of Jackson, died April 19, 2007 at home. Born in Point Pleasant, he resided in Howell prior to relocating to Jackson in 2006. He was owner of Beau Bark and Bath Mobile Dog Grooming, Jackson. He attended the First Baptist Church, Howell. He is survived by his fiancee Catherine Pepa; a son, Beau Tyler; his parents, Steven Ketchie of Howell, and Audrey Williams of Jackson; his paternal grandparents, Pat and Lonnie Ketchie of Jackson; his maternal grandparents, Ellen and Bob Repsay of Jackson; a brother, Russell Ketchie of Howell; and two sisters, Jillena Ketchie-Smith of Riverview, Fla., and Teresa Ketchie of Middletown. A funeral service will be April 25 at 10:30 a.m. at the First Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Ocean County Memorial Park, Toms River. Arrangements are by Timothy E. Agnes Marie Rosato Pilate

Mrs. Pilate, 65, of Hazlet, died April 12, 2007, at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Born in the Cliffwood section of Aberdeen, she had resided in Matawan prior to relocating to Hazlet 33 years ago. Mrs. Pilate was a homemaker. She was a communicant of Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, Union Beach. She was predeceased by her father, Frank Rosato. She is survived by her husband, Walter Pilate; her mother, Stella Grande Rosato of Hazlet; three daughters, Susan Pilate of Yardley, Pa., Sheryl Lynn Francisco of Union Beach, and Tina Marie Pilate of Hazlet; a sister, Veronica Potenza of Freehold; a brother, Frank Rosato of Union Beach; and five grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at Holy Family Church. Entombment was at St. Joseph's Mausoleum, Keyport. Arrangements were by Day Funeral Home, Keyport. Mary M. Molnar Kondek

Mrs. Kondek, 94, of Union Beach, died April 22, 2007, at Bayshore Health Care, Keyport. Born in Roseton, N.Y., she resided in Jersey City prior to relocating to Union Beach 52 years ago. She was a communicant of St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Keyport. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph F. Kondek in 1996. She is survived by two sons, Joseph G. Kondek and Edward J. Kondek, both of Middletown; a brother, Joseph Molnar of Florida; two sisters, Agnes Riley of Bayonne, and Kathryn Sullivan of Jersey City; four grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter. A Mass of Christian Burial will be April 25 at 9:15 a.m. at St. Joseph's Church. Entombment will follow at Fair View Cemetery, Middletown. Arrangements are by Day Funeral Home, Keyport.

Nathan Joseph Tomaino

Mr. Tomaino, 75, of Shrewsbury, died April 20, 2007, at home, following a battle with cancer. He was a crossing guard for Shrewsbury Borough for 12 years, retiring in 2006. Prior to that, he was a master sergeant with the HHC 2-114th Infantry, retiring in 1991. He also served with the U.S. Navy during the Korean War, from 1950 to 1954. Mr. Tomaino was a communicant of St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church, Red Bank. He was a member of American Legion Post No. 168, Red Bank. He was predeceased by two brothers, James and Bruno; and two sisters, Mary Tomaino and Jenny Rowe. Mr. Tomaino is survived by his wife of 48 years, Betty Brown Tomaino; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Nathan Tomaino of Shrewsbury, and John and Patricia Tomaino of Red Bank; three sisters and one brother-in-law, Rose Marie Lister and Angie Fedor, both of Eatontown, and Patricia and Paul Serafino of the Wanamassa section of Ocean Township; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Robert and Karole Tomaino of Reidsville, N.C., Joseph and Gladys Tomaino of the Oakhurst section of Ocean Township, and Richard and Carolyn Tomaino of Middletown; a sister-in-law, Carmella Brown of the River Plaza section of Middletown; and five grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered April 25 at 10 a.m. at St. Anthony's Church. Interment will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Middletown. Ruth Alfreida Shaw

Mrs. Shaw, 87, of Matawan, died April 13, 2007, at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. Born in Staten Island, N.Y., she relocated to Matawan 64 years ago. She was a dietary worker at Perth Amboy General Hospital, retiring in 1967. Prior to that, she was employed at Matawan Tile Co. several years. She enjoyed time with her family, cooking and baking, and was fluent in Swedish. She was predeceased by a granddaughter, Lynda Sturt in 2004; and three brothers, Ralph, Sven and Carl. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Britta and Raymond Babcock of Matawan; a brother, George Englund of Florida; four grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Interment was at Shoreland Memorial Gardens, Hazlet. Arrangements were by Bedle Funeral Home, Matawan.

Michael Dasaro

Mr. Dasaro, 69, of Middletown, died April 13, 2007, at St. Barnabas Hospice, Long Branch, following a battle with cancer. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he had resided in Keansburg before relocating to Middletown. Mr. Dasaro was employed with the National Guard and the GSA, Newark, and Fort Monmouth, Eatontown, retiring in 1990. Following his retirement, he was employed at Arrow Limousine and at Marion Security, Red Bank. He served with the U.S. Army from 1955 to 1958 in Germany. He was a life member of the Benevolent & Protective Order of Elks No. 2179, Middletown. Mr. Dasaro is survived by his wife of 39 years, Kathleen Naughton Dasaro; a daughter, Julia S. Dasaro-Drescher and her husband, Frank, of the Belford section of Middletown; a son and daughter-in-law, Michael N. and Patricia Dasaro of Holmdel; a brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Patricia Dasaro of Jericho, Vt.; a sister and brother-in-law, Mary Jane and Jack Freeman of Whiting; and four grandchildren. Janet K. Cusick

Mrs. Cusick, 76, of Fair Haven, died April 14, 2007, at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. She resided in Atlantic Highlands prior to relocating to Fair Haven 56 years ago. She was a 50-year communicant of church of the Nativity, Fair Haven. She enjoyed time with her family. She was also an avid fan of the Atlanta Braves, and enjoyed NASCAR racing. She was predeceased by a brother, Frank. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Thomas P.; two sons and daughters-in-law, Thomas and Valerie of Fair Haven, and Kevin and Marilyn of Neptune; three daughters and sons-in-law, Kathleen and Charles Pickler of the Belford section of Middletown, Laurie and Don Garrido of Wall, and Colleen and William Schulster of Fair Haven; a sister, Joyce Mount of the Navesink section of Middletown; and 11 grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at Church of the Nativity. Interment was at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Middletown. Arrangements were by Thompson Memorial Home, Red Bank. Lisa Marie Marx Michalak

Mrs. Michalak, 37, of Middletown, died April 19, 2007, at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. She was born in New Brunswick. She is survived by her husband, Frank Michalak III; a son, Frank Michalak IV of Middletown; her in-laws, Mary and Frank Michalak Jr. of Toms River; and her parents, Janet and Nicholas Marx of the Belford section of Middletown. Al Flamenbaum

Mr. Flamenbaum, 72, of Toms River, died April 14 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune. Born in queens, N.Y., he resided in Staten Island, N.Y., and the Lincroft section of Middletown, prior to retiring to Toms River in 1999. He was vice president at Barclays Bank, New York City, for 36 years. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Carolyn Dinger Flamenbaum; two daughters and sons-in-law, Caroline E. and Robert O'Connell, and Dina A. and Marc Hershey; a sister-in-law, Betty Dinger; four grandchildren; and a nephew. Julia K. Pryde

Miss Pryde, 23, of Middletown, died April 16, 2007, in Blacksburg, Va. She was pursuing a master's degree in biological system engineering at Virginia Polytechnic Institute, Blacksburg, Va. She planned on pursuing a doctorate degree, teaching in college and doing research to create pure water and sustainable agriculture in the Andes and Africa. She received a bachelor's degree in biological system engineering at the university in 2006. She was a 2001 graduate of Middletown High School North, where she was a member of the National Honor Society, and captain of the swim team. She enjoyed the outdoors, hiking and camping. She is survived by her parents, Karen and Harry Pryde; two brothers, Michael and Keith; and a sister, Leah. Arrangements were by John F. Anthony R. LaGrega

Mr. LaGrega, 67, of Aberdeen, died April 18 2007, at Raritan Bay Medical Center, Perth Amboy. born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he resided in Aberdeen the past 20 years. He was a compliance officer for various brokerage businesses for 35 years, retiring in 2002. He served with the U.S. Army during peacetime. He was a communicant of St. Clement's Roman Catholic Church, Matawan. He was predeceased by a son, Todd LaGrega in 2002. He is survived by his wife, Joanne Scotto LaGrega; a daughter and son-in-law, Darcy and Patrick Dilworth of Jackson; a son, Jeff LaGrega of Keyport; a daughter-pin-law, Kristin LaGrega of High Point, N.C.; two brothers, Joseph LaGrega of Pennsylvania, and John LaGrega of Sarasota, Fla.; a sister, Margaret Marino of Staten Island, N.Y.; and seven grandchildren. Theresa C. "Tessie" Lukasiuk Falco

Mrs. Falco, 83, of Keyport, died April 19, 2007, at home. Born in Carteret, she resided in Keyport the past 50 yeas. She was a homemaker. She was a communicant of St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Keyport. She is survived by her husband, Joseph Falco; two daughters and one son-in-law, Louise Falco of Keyport, and Theresa and Jeffrey Smith of Aberdeen; a sister, Patricia DeBeVoise of Aberdeen; a brother, Stanley Lukasiuk of Pensacola, Fla.; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Sylvester A. "Skip" Bellezza

Mr. Bellezza, 85, of the Belford section of Middletown, died April 19, 2007, at Meridian Nursing and Rehabilitation of Red Bank. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he resided in Keansburg prior to relocating to Belford 46 years ago. He owned and operated Bellezza Brothers Gulf, Hazlet, for 30 years, retiring in 1986. he served with the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was predeceased by a daughter, Teresa Bellezza. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Catherine; two daughters and sons-in-law, Lorraine and Bill Kelleher of Shrewsbury, and Jayne and Michael Weingarten of Neptune City; a son and daughter-in-law, John and Barbara Bellezza of the Leonardo section of Middletown; two sisters, Sabina Donaruma of Hazlet, and Lorraine Bellezza of Mays Landing; a brother, Anthony Bellezza of Florida; and seven grandchildren. Agnese Dibartolemeo Lombardi

Mrs. Lombardi, 53, of Holmdel, died April 19, 2007, at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. Born in Italy, she resided in Jersey City prior to relocating to Holmdel 22 years ago. She was a food handler at Woodbridge child Diagnostic Center. She was predeceased by her parents, Elisa and Pasquale Dibartolemeo. She is survived by her husband of 26 years, Pasqualino Lombardi; and two sons, Dominick and Patsy Lombardi. A funeral liturgy was held at St. Benedict's Roman Catholic Church, Holmdel. Jennie Giambaldo Latona

Mrs. Latona, 86, of Middletown, died April 20, 2007, at her daughter's residence in Middletown. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., she resided in Middletown the past 24 years. She was a seamstress at Tony Ann Garments, Brooklyn, for more than 40 years, retiring in 1983. She was a communicant of St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, New Monmouth section of Middletown. She was predeceased by her husband, Paul Latona in 1997. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Joseph and Eileen Latona of Middletown; a daughter and son-in-law, Anna and Donald Kehoe of Middletown; a sister, Eva Cuollo of Stony Brook, N.Y.; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. John J. Heckelman Sr.

Mr. Heckelman, 58, of Keyport, died April 7, 2007, at home. Born in Long Branch, he was a lifelong resident of Keyport. He was a self-employed boat builder. He was predeceased by a brother, Jay Heckelman; and his father, Joseph Heckelman. He is survived by his wife, Joanne Kraut Heckelman of Lincolnton, N.C.; his mother, Lillian Penn Heckelman of Keyport; three sons, John J. Heckelman Jr. of Union Beach, and Michael John Heckelman and Dave Joseph Heckelman, both of Lincolnton; three daughters, Tina Rotondo of Little Egg Harbor, Laurie Engemann of Long Valley, and Michele Armstrong of Lincolnton; two brothers, James Heckelman, and Jeffrey Heckelman of Keyport; a sister, Jackie Allen of Stroudsburg, Pa.; and 19 grandchildren. Richard John Jehn

Mr. Jehn, 65, of Manalapan, died April 4, 2007, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Born in Milwaukee, he had lived in Hazlet for 23 years before moving to Manalapan 16 years ago. He was a communicant of Our Lady of Mercy Roman Catholic Church, Englishtown. Mr. Jehn was a Monmouth County corrections officer in Freehold for 20 years before retiring in 2000 with the rank of sergeant. He was a U.S. Navy veteran. He was a former member of the Hazlet Volunteer Fire Company. Surviving are his wife of 45 years, Marie; a son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Gina of Tinton Falls; two daughters and sons-in-law, Susan and Lee Salisbury of South Brunswick, and Kathy Lynn and Michael Downey of Aberdeen; a brother, James of Florida; two sisters, JoAnn Brandao of Hazlet and Susan Strocker of Milwaukee; and seven grandchildren. A funeral service was held at Freeman Manalapan-Marlboro Funeral Home, Manalapan, followed by interment at Shoreland Cemetery, Hazlet.

Lucy P. Grucci Marino

Mrs. Marino, 82, of Hazlet, died April 20, 2007, at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., she resided there prior to relocating to Hazlet 47 years ago. She was a crossing guard and school aide at Hazlet Township Schools for 15 years, retiring in 1983. She was a communicant of Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, Union Beach. She is survived by her husband, Martin Marino; three daughters and one son-in-law, JoAnne and Richard Dinen of Hazlet, Angela Pinto of Whiting, and Maryanne Krenz of the Lincroft section of Middletown; five sons and three daughters-in-law, Ron and Georgine Napurano of Smithtown, N.Y., Martin Marino Jr. of Basking Ridge, Philip and Geraldine Traina of Middletown, Michael Traina of Wall, and Vincent and Donna Traina of Jackson; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
