Audubon bird walk at Sandy Hook June 7 Monmouth County Audubon Society will hold an evening bird walk June 7 at 6 p.m. beginning at the visitor's center at Sandy Hook. Walkers at the free walk will look for nesters and shorebirds such as piping plovers. The trip is open to members and nonmembers. Attendees should bring binoculars and field guides, and dress appropriately for the weather. Insect repellent is suggested. Advance registration is not required.
