Anna J. Siskoske Hogan

Mrs. Hogan, 95, of Hazlet, died May 21, 2007, at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. One of 13 children, she was born in Wilkes-Barre, Pa., and resided in Keyport before relocating to Hazlet. She was a homemaker. She was predeceased by her husband, Patrick, in 1981. She is survived by two daughters, Eileen Conover and Patricia Sheffield, both of Keyport; a brother, William Hogan; 12 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Arrangements were by Day Funeral Home, Keyport.

Helen T. McVey

Mrs. McVey, 91, of Holmdel, died May 8, 2007, at Care One at Holmdel. She resided in the Lincroft section of Middletown, Fair Haven, and Red Bank from 1944 until she relocated to Holmdel in March. She was a quality assurance auditor at For Monmouth, Eatontown, for 30 years, retiring in 1973. She was a former communicant of Church of the Nativity, Fair Haven, and a Eucharistic minister at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, Colts Neck. She was predeceased by her husband, William. She is survived by three sisters, Sophia Tekien of Lincroft, Lilyann Tekien of Whiting, and Wanda Wessel of Pennsylvania; and several nieces and nephews. Burial was at Maplewood Cemetery, Freehold Township. Arrangements were by John E. Day Funeral Home, Red Bank.

Arlene Pepitone Hamilton

Mrs. Hamilton, 86, of Shelocta, Pa., died May 27, 2007, at Indiana (Pa.) Regional Medical Center. Born in New Brunswick, she resided in Matawan and Manalapan prior to relocating to Pennsylvania. She was a homemaker. She enjoyed playing bingo at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Keyport. She was predeceased by her husband, Richard Hamilton in 1994; two brothers, Francis and Byron Pepitone; and a sister, Florence Fulmer. She is survived by two daughters, Judith Hall of Shelocta, Pa., and Arlene Wisser of Casa Grande, Ariz.; a son, Edmund O'Connor of Matawan; a brother, Joseph Pepitone of Smyrna, Ga.; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Visitation will be May 31 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at Day Funeral Home, Keyport. A Mass of Christian Burial will be June 1 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph's Church. Interment will follow at Rosehill Cemetery, Matawan. Memorial donations may be made to Visiting Nurses/Hospice, 850 Hospital Road, Suite 3000, Indiana, PA 15701.

Nancy M. Kelly Parker-Morgan

Mrs. Parker-Morgan, 51, of Middletown, died May 25, 2007, at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. Born in Newark, he resided in Laurence Harbor for 10 years before relocating to Middletown six years ago. She was a waitress at Cornucopia Diner, Keyport, the past 20 years, and was also a dental assistant at the office of William A. Orlacchio, D.D.S., Hazlet. Mrs. Parker-Morgan was predeceased by her father, Joseph Kelly. She is survived by her mother and stepfather, Joyce and Dick Davis Swartz of Moscow, Pa.; her husband, Jack Morgan; a son, Arthur Parker of Middletown; a daughter and son-in-law, Sherri and Jim Bartucci of Keansburg; a sister and brother-in-law, Joyce and Bruce Hoelz of Jackson; a brother and sister-in-law, Joseph and Marie Kelly of Toms River; and two grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated May 31 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Keyport. Entombment will follow at Fair View Cemetery, Middletown. Arrangements are by Day Funeral Home, Keyport.

Jeanne Taylor

Mrs. Taylor, 83, of Aberdeen, died May 22, 2007, at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. She was executive confidential secretary to the superintendent of schools for the Matawan/Aberdeen School District for 23 years, retiring in 1986. Following retirement, she volunteered at Bayshore Community Hospital and the Children's Advocacy and Protection (CAP) program in public schools. She was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church, Matawan. She was predeceased by her husband of 45 years, Robert, in 1990. She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara and Michael Lamberth of Matawan, and Meredith and Gregory Twyman of Aberdeen; two granddaughters; and one great-granddaughter. Stuart Alexander Edington

Mr. Edington, 89, of Red Bank, died May 21, 2007. Born in West Orange, he resided in Middletown prior to relocating to Red Bank. He was an Assignment Clerk for the Superior Court of Monmouth County, Freehold, for several years, retiring in 1981. He served with the U.S. Army Air corps Counter Intelligence Command during World War II, and was discharged as a Staff Sergeant after the war. He was a member of the Red Bank Elks, and Commander of American Legion Post 168, Red Bank, for more than 40 years. He was a former member of the Red Bank Board of Education, and Parent Teacher Associations in Red Bank and Middletown. He also was active in the Lincroft Boy Scouts. He brought Pony League baseball to Red Bank, and followed that chaired the Red Bank Recreation Commission. He was an avid yachtsman and commodore of the Red Bank Sweepstakes Regatta Association for several years. He was predeceased by his wife, Jean Robertson Edington; a sister, Marcina Savage; and a brother, Wallace C. Edington. He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Bruce S. and Donna Edington of Colts Neck, and Brian P. and Barbara Edington of New York City; and a granddaughter. Arrangements were by Thompson Memorial Home, Red Bank.

Arthur Wesley Ervin

Mr. Ervin, 80, of Anderson, S.C., and formerly of Hazlet, died May 23, 2007, in South Carolina. Born in Irvington, he had resided in Hazlet before relocating to Anderson in 1984. He was a truck driver for General Cable Co., Perth Amboy, before relocating to Anderson. Mr. Ervin served with the U.S. Navy as an armed guard during World War II. He was predeceased by his wife of 47 years, Constance Mildred Ferrara Ervin. He is survived by four sons, Richard Ervin of Pennsylvania, Jeffrey Ervin of Florida, and Michael and Charles Ervin, both of New Jersey; three daughters, Donna Carmany and Susan Stout, both of South Carolina, and Allyson Tidwell of Georgia; 18 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Interment was at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Keyport. Arrangements were by Day Funeral Home, Keyport. Alan W. McCormick

Mr. McCormick, 76, of Freehold Township, died May 9, 2007, at Bartley Healthcare Nursing & Rehabilitation, Jackson. He was born in Red Bank and had lived there, in Middletown and in Port St. Lucie, Fla., before moving to Freehold in 1999. Prior to retiring in 1985, Mr. McCormick was a program analyst at U.S. Army CECOM (Communications Electronics Command) at Fort Monmouth for more than 30 years. He was a U.S. Navy veteran who served in Korea. He was a 1948 graduate of Red Bank High School. Surviving are his wife of 55 years, Patricia Noonan McCormick; four sons and three daughters-in-law, David A. and Maureen McCormick of Hackensack, Keith J. and Denise McCormick of Howell, Paul H. McCormick of Zionsville, Pa., and his companion, Debra, and Patrick J. and Sheila McCormick of Farmingdale; a brother and sister-in-law, Howard S. Jr. and Frances McCormick of the Adelphia section of Howell; two brothers-in-law and a sister-in-law, William and Elna Robinson of Port Orchard, Wis., and John Noonan Jr. of Fair Haven; and seven grandchildren. A funeral service was held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, Freehold Township. Inurnment took place at Holmdel Cemetery Mausoleum.

Florence R. Regan Mylott

Mrs. Mylott, 92, of Tinton Falls, died May 25, 2007, at Arnold Walter Nursing Home, Holmdel. Born in Jersey City, she had resided in Middletown for 18 years and Toms River for 20 years before relocating to Tinton Falls. She was a homemaker. She was a communicant of St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, New Monmouth section of Middletown. She was predeceased by her husband, Harold R., in 1975. She is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Marietta Freeman of Red Bank, and Marilyn and Joseph Scagliuso of Tinton Falls; a son and daughter-in-law, John and Maureen Mylott of New Briton, Conn.; eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. A funeral liturgy was celebrated at St. Mary's Church, followed by burial at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Middletown. Arrangements were by John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, Middletown.
