Joseph Peter Triano Jr.
Mr. Triano, 84, of Mount Pocono, Pa., and formerly Middletown, died May 21, 2007, in Pennsylvania. Born in Harrison, he resided in Middletown for 38 years, prior to relocating to Pennsylvania. He was employed at Merck Security at International Flavors and Fragrances, Hazlet. Prior to that, he owned and operated ABC Laundry, Newark. He served with the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was an avid Yankees fan. He was predeceased by his wife, Katherine J. Triano in 1997; and a son, Joseph Triano. He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Arthur and Vicky Orlowski; four daughters and two sons-in-law, Frances Orlowski, Andrea Centanni, Tina and Dennis Whelan, and Marianne and Joseph Damiano; two sisters, Betty Samson and Irene Quist; a brother, Arthur Triano; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Arrangements were under the direction of the John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, Middletown. Burial was at Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery, Arnytown,
Clara Eleanor Murray Allen
Mrs. Allen, 77, of Hazlet, died May 27, 2007, at St. Barnabas Hospice at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. Born in New York City, she resided in the Bronx, N.Y., before relocating to Hazlet 11 years ago. Mrs. Allen was a homemaker. She was a member of the Middle Road Village Association. She was predeceased by her husband, John Joseph Allen, in 1996. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Lawrence and Pia Allen of Queens Village, N.Y.; a daughter and son-in-law, Linda Rose and Dominick Vulpis of the Lincroft section of Middletown; a sister, Dorothy Harris of Troy, N.Y.; a brother, Patrick Murray of Troy; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandson. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated May 31 at 9 a.m. at St. James Roman Catholic Church, Red Bank. Burial will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Middletown. Arrangements are by John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, Middletown.
Frank P. DeRosa
Mr. DeRosa, 49, of Allentown, Pa., died May 28, 2007, at Manor Care Health Center, Allentown. Born in Long Branch, he resided in Hazlet 16 years, prior to relocating to Allentown. He was a self-employed contractor. He served with the U.S. Army during Desert Storm. He is survived by two sons, Frank DeRosa Jr. and Justin Derosa, both of Hazlet; a daughter, Jessica DeRosa of Hazlet; and a grandson. Visitation will be May 31 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at Day Funeral Home, Keyport. A funeral service will be June 1 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home, followed by interment at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Keyport.
Dorothy Ann Kastner Groh
Mrs. Groh, 71, of Matawan, died May 24, 2007, at Frances Georgeson Hospice House, Naples, Fla. Born in Jersey City, she had resided in Towaco before relocating to Matawan in 1968. Mrs. Groh was a communicant of St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Keyport. She is survived by her husband, Herman J. Groh; two sons and daughters-in-law, William H. and Denise Groh of Jackson, and Charles J. and Rachel Groh of Brick; a daughter and son-in-law, Wendy and Tom Reddington of Jacksonville, Fla.; and six grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered May 31 at 9:15 a.m. at St. Joseph's Church. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington. Arrangements are by Day Funeral Home, Keyport.
Frances Lane Roche
Mrs. Roche, 94, of Franklin, N.H., died May 16, 2007, at home. Born in Newark, she had resided in Union Beach and Keyport before moving to Franklin five years ago. She was a homemaker. She was a former member of the Union Beach Drum and Bugle Corps and the Union Beach Democratic Club. Mrs. Roche was predeceased by her husband, John, in 1997. She is survived by a daughter, Kathleen Young of Union Beach; a son, Lawrence Hennessy of Franklin; a stepdaughter, Janet Roder of Union Beach; a stepson, John Roche of Union Beach; a brother, Joseph Lane of Newark; 16 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Keyport, followed by interment at the church cemetery. Arrangements were by the Day Funeral Home, Keyport.
