Marilyn Grace Farrell

Mrs. Farrell, 66, of Pine Hill, died June 2, 2007, at Allen Memorial Hospital, Waterloo, Iowa. She resided in Old Bridge prior to relocating to Pine Hill in 1996. She was a licensed practical nurse at Marlboro Psychiatric Hospital before it closed, and Ancora State Hospital the past 11 years. She is survived by her husband of 43 years, David E. Farrell; a son, Kevin Farrell of Old Bridge; two daughters and one son-in-law, Theresa and Donald MacDowell of Woodstock, Va., and Janine Foster of Middletown; a brother and sister-in-law, William and Charlene Hamilton of Newark, Del.; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Sara and Robert Romano of Rockville, Md., and Pat and Bill Lipkea of New Hartford, Iowa; 10 grandchildren; and a great-grandson. Interment took place at Fair View Cemetery, Middletown. The John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, Middletown, was in charge of arrangements.

Cynthia D. Rivas

Miss Rivas, 47, of the Leonardo section of Middletown, died June 9, 2007, at Mount Sinai Medical Center, New York City. born in New York City, she resided in Leonardo the past 36 years. She was predeceased by her parents, Hilda and Ernest Rivas. She is survived by a sister and brother-in-law, Deborah and Erik Pufahl of Leonardo; and three nieces. Visitation will be June 14 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, Middletown. A funeral service will be June 15 at 10 a.m. at St. Agnes Roman Catholic Church, Atlantic Highlands. Alphonso Anthony Iaderosa Sr.

Mr. Iaderosa, 54, of Keyport, died May 31, 2007, at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. Born in Holmdel, he resided in Mount Pleasant Mills, Pa., prior to relocating to Keyport 16 years ago. He was a shipping and receiving clerk at Bell Medical Supply, Marlboro. He was predeceased by his mother, Audrey Boyce Iaderosa. He is survived by his father, Carmen Iaderosa Sr.; two sons, Alphonso Iaderosa Jr. and Michael Iaderosa; a daughter, Sara Iaderosa; a sister, Dorothy Locher; three brothers, Carmen Iaderosa Jr., William Iaderosa and Robert Iaderosa; and one grandchild. Arrangements were by Day Funeral Home, Keyport.

Joseph A. Sembler

Mr. Sembler, 86, of Debary, Fla., died May 31, 2007, at Florida General Hospital, Sanford, Fla. Born in New York City, he resided in Union Beach prior to relocating to Debary 20 years ago. He was a truck driver at International Flavors and Fragrances, Union Beach and Hazlet, retiring in 1983. Prior to that, he was a longshoreman at ILANYC, Local 920. He served with the U.S. Army during World War II. He was an ex-member of Union Beach Fire Company No. 1. He was predeceased by a daughter, Maryanne Kennedy; two brothers, Robert and William; and his first wife, Mary O'Leary Sembler in 1983. He is survived by his wife, Marie Menges Sembler; eight daughters, Elaine Carola, Joann Ostervich, Alice Ostervich, Barbara Ely, Margaret Doherty, Kathleen Lelbreil, Patricia Coleman and Deborah Poczik; three sons, Joseph Sembler, John Sembler and Edward Sembler; four sisters, Alice Curtis, Mary Hartwig, Anna Washkevits and Margaret Howley; seven stepchildren; 38 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Catherine's Roman Catholic Church, Middletown. Entombment was at St. Joseph's Mausoleum, Keyport. Arrangements were by Day Funeral Home, Keyport. Henny Bjornsund

Mrs. Bjornsund, 75, of Keansburg, died June 1, 2007, at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., she resided in Middletown, and Venice, Fla., prior to relocating to Keansburg six years ago. She was a homemaker. She was a member of King of Kings Lutheran Church, Middletown. She was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels, and member of the Middletown Woman's Club. She enjoyed bridge and travel. She was predeceased by her husband, Harold Bjornsund in 1987. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Craig and Lori Bjornsund of Middletown, and William and Trisha Bjornsund of the Locust section of Middletown; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Dianne and Bill Wagner, and Lorraine and David Best, all of Middletown, and Jean Cleary of Beachwood; a brother, Roger Hansen of Brooklyn, N.Y.; 13 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. A funeral service was held at King of Kings Church. Burial was at Fair View Cemetery, Middletown. Arrangements were by John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, Middletown. Irma M. McDonald

Mrs. McDonald, 87, of Hazlet, died June 1, 2007, at Regency Park Nursing Center, Hazlet. Born in Wisconsin, she resided in Madison, Wis., and Red Bank, prior to relocating to Hazlet four years ago. She was a homemaker. She was predeceased by her husband, James in 1973. She is survived by a son, Larry of Old Bridge; and three grandchildren. Interment was at Highland Memorial Gardens, Madison, Wis. Arrangements were by Michael Hegarty Funeral Home, Old Bridge.

Gary A. Rossnagel

Mr. Rossnagel, 50, of Middletown, died June 1, 2007, at home. Born in Plainfield, he resided in Middletown since 1957. He was a consultant and provided construction management services at residential projects in Monmouth County. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing and sailing. He was predeceased by his father, George A. Rossnagel. He is survived by a daughter, Rachel; a son, Andrew; his mother, Joanne Rossnagel; a brother, Greg; and a sister, Robyn. A memorial service was held at Christ Episcopal Church, Middletown. Arrangements were by John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, Middletown.

William Hamilton Riedell

Mr. Riedell, 67, of Middletown, died June 2, 2007, at home following a lengthy illness. Born in New York City, he resided in Northport, Long Island, N.Y., prior to relocating to Middletown in 1982. He was employed in sales and marketing at Arrow Fasteners, and for several years at Hallmark Cards prior to that. He was a member, vestry member and usher at Christ Episcopal Church, Middletown. He was a board member of The Old Church Foundation for Christ Church. An avid sailor, he raced in the Newport, R.I., to Bermuda race, and piloted a tall ship during the 1976 Bicentennial in New York Harbor. He also enjoyed soccer, and woodworking. He is survived by his wife, Gail Milliken Riedell; a son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Danielle Riedell of South Jordan, Utah; a daughter, Allison Elliott of Fort Hunter, N.Y.; a sister and brother-in-law, Virginia and Bill Vidal of San Francisco; and two grandchildren. A memorial service was held at Christ Church. Arrangements were by John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, Middletown. Abby F. Baumoehl Napolitano

Mrs. Napolitano, 56, of Holmdel, died June 4, 2007, at home. born in Miami, she resided there prior to relocating to Holmdel in 1972. She was a homemaker. She enjoyed nature and wildlife. She is survived by her husband, Thomas Napolitano; her mother, Ruth Baumoehl of Las Vegas; a son, Jason Napolitano of New York City; and a daughter, Jaimee Napolitano of Lake Hopatcong. Entombment was at Holmdel Mausoleum. Arrangements were by Day Funeral Home, Keyport. Wilfred J. Mujica

Mr. Mujica, 98, of Hazlet, died June 8, 2007, at Arnold Walter Nursing Home, Hazlet. Born in Cuzco, Peru, he resided in Hempstead, Long Island, N.Y., prior to relocating to Hazlet several years ago. He was a retired electrical engineer at W.R. Grace & Company, New York City, and Lima, Peru. He was a 32nd Degree Mason at the Free and Associated Masons (F&AM) Lodge, Hempstead, N.Y., and was a Mason for 32 years. He was also a lifetime member of the Matawan F&AM Lodge 192. He was a member of the championship soccer team at Stanford (Calif.) University. He was predeceased by his first wife, Veva Lanning Mujica in 1961. He is survived by his wife, Ernestina Mujica; a son and daughter-in-law, Thomas and Christine of Norwood; a daughter and son-in-law, Katherine and Raymond Maddock of Hazlet; three sisters, Dora Pareja, and Renee and Miryam Mujica, all of Lima, Peru; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Burial was at Manlius Village Cemetery, Manlius, N.Y. Arrangements were by Day Funeral Home, Keyport.

Anthony "Tony S." Scalzo

Mr. Scalzo, 81, of Rumson, died June 7, 2007, at Meridian Nursing & Rehabilitation, Red Bank. Born in Rumson, he was a lifelong resident. He was a clerk and letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service, Rumson, from age 14 until retirement. He also served as a shop steward while involved in the postal union, and owned Tony's Signs, Rumson, for several years. He was a devout Roman Catholic and supported several local Catholic churches. He was a life member of the Oceanic Hook & Ladder Fire Company, Rumson. He was predeceased by his wife, Mary P. Scalzo. He is survived by a son, Frank A. Scalzo of Fair Haven; a daughter, Cathie C. Scalzo of Fair Haven; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, William and June "Peggy" Scalzo, James and Evelyn Scalzo, and Samuel Scalzo, all of Rumson; three sisters and one brother-in-law, Concetta Orechio of Long Branch, Mary Calabretta of Rumson, and Barbara and William Boccellato of the River Plaza section of Middletown; and several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at Church of the Nativity, Fair Haven. Interment was at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Middletown. Arrangements were by John E. Day Funeral Home, Red Bank. Marie E. Parisi Martin

Mrs. Martin, 92, of Matawan, died June 7, 2007, at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. Born in Freehold, she was a lifelong resident of Matawan. She was a retired waitress at Buttonwood Manor, Matawan, where she was employed 25 years. She was a communicant of St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Keyport. She was predeceased by her husband, Clifford Martin in 2001; a stepson, Clifford Martin Jr.; and three brothers, James Parisi, Emelio Parisi and Biagio Parisi. She is survived by a stepdaughter, Virginia Johnston of Sayreville; a brother, Gaetano Parisi of Matawan; and several grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Joseph's Church, followed by interment at the church cemetery. Arrangements were by Day Funeral Home, Keyport.

Francis V. Esposito

Mr. Esposito, 59, of Middletown, died June 8, 2007, at St. Barnabas Hospice at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he resided there prior to relocating to Middletown 13 years ago. He was employed in maintenance at an office building in New York City. He served with the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Deborah Wasik Esposito; a son and daughter-in-law, Christopher and Amy Esposito; a daughter, Jessica Esposito; a sister and brother-in-law, Fran and Angelo; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral liturgy was held at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, New Monmouth section of Middletown. Burial was at Fair View Cemetery, Middletown. Arrangements were by John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, Middletown.

Veronica White Rausch

Mrs. Rausch, 88, of Hazlet, died June 8, 2007, at Regency Park Nursing Home, Hazlet. Born inn Hoboken, she resided in Guttenberg and the Cliffwood Beach section of Old Bridge prior to relocating to Hazlet four years ago. She was a cafeteria worker at Anna L. Klein Elementary School, Guttenberg, for five years, retiring in 1985. She was an active parishioner and CCD teacher at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Palisades. She was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, Guttenberg and Keyport. She was predeceased by her husband, Albert in 1990; a daughter-in-law, Barbara; two brothers; four sisters; and a great-granddaughter. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Mary Ellen and Marc O'Steen of Cliffwood Beach; a son, Leonard of Guttenberg; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Lawrence Roman Catholic Church, Laurence Harbor. Burial was at Fair View Cemetery, Middletown. Arrangements were by Day Funeral Home, Keyport.

Carmen R. Reyes

Mrs. Reyes, 78, of Old Bridge, died May 17, 2007, in Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. Surviving are a son, Robert R. Reyes of Flushing, N.Y.; three daughters, Rosalind J. Zeitner of Old Bridge, Ann Jenkins of East Brunswick and Jeanette J. Englich of Lake Ronkonkoma Hills, N.Y.; three brothers, Eugene J. Nieto of the Parlin section of Sayreville, Edward F. Nieto of Moorestown and Albert T. Nieto of Florida; two sisters, Sister Guadalupe Marie Nieto of Summit and Elsie G. Rodriguez of Matawan; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Bernadette's Church, Parlin section of Old Bridge. Interment was in St. Charles Cemetery, Farmingdale, N.Y.

Anna "Sabina" Harylka Church

Mrs. Church, 76, of the Cliffwood Beach section of Old Bridge, died June 1, 2007, at St. Michael's Medical Center, Newark. She was predeceased by her husband, James Church, in 2004. She is survived by three sons and two daughters-in-law, Thomas and Doris Church of Budd Lake, John and Susan Church of Ogdensburg, and James Church of Cliffwood Beach; a brother, Stanley "Stash" Harylka of Holmdel; a sister, Dorothy Grabowski of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; and three grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Lawrence Roman Catholic Church, Laurence Harbor. Interment was at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Keyport. Arrangements were by Day Funeral Home, Keyport.

William J. Guzinski

Mr. Guzinski, 59, of the Cliffwood Beach section of Old Bridge, died May 30, 2007, at home following a lengthy battle with cancer. He was predeceased by an infant daughter, Lenora Guzinski. He is survived by his wife, Marianne Costa Guzinski; a daughter, Gloria Guzinski of Middlesex; a sister, Barbara Guzinski of Old Bridge; his in-laws, John and Irene Costa of Marlboro; and a sister-in-law, Irene Costa of Aberdeen. A funeral liturgy was celebrated at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Keyport. Arrangements were by Day Funeral Home, Keyport.
