Anthony F. Santorelli
Mr. Santorelli, 75, of Middletown, died June 26, 2007, at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. Born in Newark, he resided there prior to relocating to Middletown 19 years ago. He was the owner and operator of Tremont Television, East Orange, for 50 years, retiring in 2002. He was predeceased by his wife of 46 years, Irene L. Santorelli, in 2002; a brother, John Santorelli; and two sisters, Phyllis Fasone and Rae Camporeale. He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Anthony and Renee Santorelli of Middletown; a daughter, Julia Conocchioli of Middletown; a brother, Dominick Santorelli; a sister, Terry Moretti; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. A funeral liturgy was held at St. Catherine's Roman Catholic Church, North Middletown. Entombment was at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Middletown. Arrangements were by John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, Middletown.
Gene A. Fitzgerald Sr.
Mr. Fitzgerald, 70, of Neptune City, died June 17, 2007, at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune. Born in Long Branch, he resided there prior to relocating to Neptune City one year ago. He was a construction worker at Thomas Proctor Company, Long Branch, for 15 years, and an employee at the recycling plant for the City of Long Branch for 10 years. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Margaret Cazella Fitzgerald; a son and daughter-in-law, Gene and Terry Fitzgerald of Hazlet; two daughters and sons-in-law, Maryann and Ray Gabriel of Spotswood, and Elizabeth and Rick Ebner of West Long Branch; and six grandchildren. entombment was at Woodbine Mausoleum, Oceanport. Arrangements were by Laurel Funeral Home, West Keansburg section of Hazlet.
Ronald F. Ely
Mr. Ely, 54, of Keyport, died June 25, 2007, at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. Born in Elizabeth, he was a lifelong resident of Keyport. He was a yardman at Builders General the past seven years. He was predeceased by his parents, John and Elizabeth Szlinsky Ely. He is survived by his wife, Dolores "Dee" J. Ely; four daughters and one son-in-law, Donna Walsh, and Diane and Jimmy Larsen, all of Hazlet, and Melissa Ely and Elizabeth Ely, both of Keyport; four brothers, Richard Punko of Perth Amboy, William Baduske of New Jersey, Jerry Sviatko of Virginia, and Robert Ely of Florida; two sisters, Judy Panzino of the West Keansburg section of Hazlet, and Janice Stanton of Vineland; five grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. Arrangements were by Day Funeral Home, Keyport.
Mary Ellen Swift McGrath
Mrs. McGrath, 97, of the Cliffwood section of Aberdeen, died June 28, 2007, at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. Born in England, she had resided in New York City and Matawan before relocating to Cliffwood. Before her retirement, Mrs. McGrath was a cafeteria worker at Lloyd Road School, Matawan. She was a member of St. Clement's 60 and Over Club, Matawan. She was predeceased by her husband, James; a son, Thomas McGrath; three brothers, Thomas Swift, Michael Swift and the Rev. Gerald Swift; two sisters, Catherine Algeo and Nora Brennan; and a great-granddaughter, Catherine Grace Pusey. Mrs. McGrath is survived by three sons, James McGrath of Bel Air, Md., Bart McGrath of Browns Mills, and John McGrath of Clifton; three daughters, Joan Pusey of Atlanta, Maureen Glende of Whiting, and Geraldine Vierach of Pennsylvania; 21 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Clement's Roman Catholic Church, Matawan. Interment was at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Keyport. Arrangements were by Day Funeral Home, Keyport.
