KEYPORT - The Keyport Business Alliance will begin its free summer concert series, "Jazz & Blues on Front Street," tomorrow evening. Set to start at 7 p.m., this week's show will feature Jonny B and the Blue Blazers, a local band based in Keyport. The concert will be held in conjunction with the Keyport Firemen's Fair, next to Ye Cottage Inn, and will take place rain or shine. Tom Baldino, of the Jersey Shore Jazz and Blues Festival, invites the entire community to the family-friendly event. "We've been promoting it heavily this year," he said. "Hopefully, we'll get a decent turnout." The concerts will continue every week throughout the summer, and after Thursday's performance, the remaining concerts will be held at the Mini-Park gazebo on West Front Street. In the event of rain, the performances will be moved to the VFW hall across the street. A farmer's market will also be available at every show. The rest of the series will feature the Chuck Lambert Band on July 19, Goldenseal on July 26, the Dennis Peters Band on Aug. 2, Special Request on Aug. 9, Terraplane Blues on Aug. 16, the Jazz Lobsters on Aug. 23, and the Maracas Band on Aug. 30.
