Amanda Francisco

Amanda Francisco, 12, of Middletown, died June 26, 2007, following a lifelong battle with Cockayne syndrome. A funeral liturgy was celebrated at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, New Monmouth section of Middletown. Burial was at Fair View Cemetery, Middletown. Arrangements were by John F. James Williamson

Mr. Williamson, 70, of Long Branch, died June 25, 2007, at St. Barnabas Hospice at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. Born in Jersey City, he resided in Hazlet and Kearny, prior to relocating to Long Branch eight years ago. He was predeceased by his father, James Williamson; a brother, Clark Williamson; and two nephews, Douglas and Christopher Williamson. He is survived by his mother, Constance Williamson of Keansburg; a brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Mary Ann Williamson of the Colonia section of Woodbridge; a sister-in-law, Vida Williamson of Neptune; his companion, Diane Dziesinta; a nephew; and a niece. Carl Harold Philips

Mr. Philips, 82, of Hazlet, died July 1, 2007, at Arnold Walter Nursing Home, Holmdel. Born in Jersey City, he resided there prior to relocating to Hazlet 18 years ago. He was a machinist at Westinghouse Elevator, Jersey City, for 25 years, retiring in 1980. He served with the U.S. Army during World War II during the Battle of the Bulge, and received the Purple Heart. He was a former parishioner at Bethany Lutheran Church, Jersey City. He was predeceased by a son, Thomas Philips in 2006; a daughter-in-law, Colleen Philips in 1999; a sister, Viola "Pinky" Philips; and a brother, Alfred Philips. He is survived by his wife, Catherine Connors Philips; a son and daughter-in-law, Carl and Karen Philips of Jersey City; a sister, Alfred "Tootie" Linquist of Tinton Falls; and four grandchildren.

Robert Tillyer

Mr. Tillyer, 71, of Middletown, died June 29, 2007, at Thomas Jefferson Medical Center, Philadelphia. Born in Easton, Pa., he resided in Middletown most of his life. He was a production manager at International Flavors & Fragrances (IFF), Union Beach, for 25 years, retiring in 1986. He served with the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict. He was a communicant of St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, New Monmouth section of Middletown. He was a member of Benevolent Protective Order of Elks Lodge No. 2179, Middletown. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Hahn Tillyer; a son, Kevin Tillyer of Pennsylvania; a bother and sister-in-law, Richard and Patricia Tillyer of Florida; three sisters, Mary Fagan of Red Bank, Connie Marotta of the Leonardo section of Middletown, and Alice Maher of Kearny; and two grandchildren. A funeral liturgy was held at St. Mary's Church. Burial was at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Middletown. Arrangements were by John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, Middletown.

Kenneth R. Pelton

Mr. Pelton, 72, of Middletown, died June 30, 2007, at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. Born in Rahway, he reside din Westfield prior to relocating to Middletown 42 years ago. He was an employee benefits specialist at American Brands, New York City, for 30 years, retiring in 1989. He served with the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict. He was a former president and director at the Council of America. An avid stock driver, he was a former owner and driver of stock cars at Wall Stadium. He enjoyed running, and completed the New York marathon. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Carol Hunnemann Pelton; four sons and three daughters-in-law, Lee and Carolyn Pelton of Toms River, Dave and Cindy Pelton of Wayne, Pa., Kevin and Arline Pelton of West Long Branch, and Steve Pelton of North Charleston, S.C.; a twin brother and sister-in-law, James and Rose Marie Pelton of South Plainfield; a brother-in-law, Art Hunnemann of Camden, Del.; and nine grandchildren. Mae Marshowsky

Mrs. Marshowsky, 87, of Sanford, Fla., died July 1, 2007, at Lakeland (Fla.) Hospital. Born in Jersey City, she had resided in Hazlet before relocating to Sanford three years ago. She was a caregiver at Brookdale Nursing Home, Hazlet, and Navesink House, Red Bank, for several years. Mrs. Marshowsky was a former president of the Ladies Auxiliary of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 4303, West Keansburg section of Hazlet. She was predeceased by her husband, Anthony Marshowsky, in 1978, and a sister, Helen Slover. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, John and Jennifer Bodtmann of Montgomery, Texas, and Michael and Marian Marshowsky of Sanford, Fla.; a daughter and son-in-law, Diane and John DiCapua of Jackson; a brother, Melvin Stewart of Florida; a sister, Joan Stegeman of Ocean; 10 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. A funeral liturgy was celebrated at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, New Monmouth section of Middletown, followed by burial at Fair View Cemetery, Middletown. Arrangements were by John F. Susan "Sue" F. Kane Beahan

Mrs. Beahan, 95, of Keyport, died July 2, 2007, at Madison Center, Old Bridge. She resided in Hazlet, Nutley and Belleville, prior to relocating to Keyport. She was a grid operator at RCA, Harrison, for 25 years, retiring in 1972. She was predeceased by her husband, Vincent Beahan in 1973. She is survived by a son, Vincent Beahan Jr. of Keyport; a daughter, Georgeanna Nagiewicz of Belleville; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Arrangements were by Day Funeral Home, Keyport.

John C. Federico

Mr. Federico, 88, of the Port Monmouth section of Middletown, died July 3, 2007, at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. He was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. He was a retired forklift driver at Lightolier, Jersey City. He served with the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a 60-year member of Local 3, Electrical Workers Union, and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 2179, Port Monmouth. He was also a member of the Croyden Senior Center, Middletown. He was predeceased by a brother, Joseph Federico. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Ann Mauro Federico; three daughters and one son-in-law, Marie Mead of Middletown, Antoinette and Michael Annucci of Port Monmouth, and Joyce Federico of Middletown; two brothers, Vincent Memet and Luke Memet; a sister, Rose Goodenough; and five grandchildren. A funeral liturgy was held at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, New Monmouth section of Middletown. Burial was at Fair View Cemetery, Middletown. Arrangements were by John F. Paul Hagney Sr.

Mr. Hagney, 79, of Aberdeen Township, died July 4, 2007, at Victoria Health Care, Matawan. Born in Newark, he resided there prior to relocating to Aberdeen. He was a retired clerk at United Electronics, Newark. He was predeceased by his wife, Marie Bork Hagney; two sons, Paul Hagney Jr. and William Hagney; and a daughter, Marie Hagney. He is survived by a son, Michael Hagney of Toms River. Arrangements were by Day Funeral Home, Keyport.

Stanley J. Silow

Mr. Silow, 85, of Middletown, died July 6, 2007, at home. He was a lifelong resident of Middletown. He was a letter carrier with the U.S. Postal Service, Middletown, for 30 years. He served with the U.S. Navy Seabees during World War II during the Pacific Campaign. He was a communicant of St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, New Monmouth section of Middletown. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 2179, Port Monmouth section of Middletown. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Mary; two daughters and one son-in-law, Nancy and Rick Brancadora of Allentown, and Candy Tsidemidis of Glen Cove, N.Y.; a son, Stanley J. Silow Jr. of Mystic Island; and four grandchildren. A funeral liturgy was held at St. Mary's Church. Burial was at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Middletown. Arrangements were by John F.
