Republican Committee cocktail gala Aug. 1 The Monmouth County Republican Committee will hold 52nd annual cocktail gala Aug. 1 from 6-9 p.m. at Navesink Country Club, Luftburrow Lane, Navesink section of Middletown. Guest speaker will be Anne Estabrook, Spring Lake. She has launched an exploratory committee for a potential U.S. Senate run in 2008. Cocktails and hors d'oeuvres will be served from 6-9 p.m. Cost is $300 per person individual or $500 per person sponsor. Proceeds support Republican candidates. This year's candidates are Kim Guadagno for sheriff, County Clerk Claire French, Freeholder Rob Clifton, and Jeff Cantor for freeholder.
