Annual 'Linda's Game' slated for July 28
The annual "Linda's Game" softball game for the American Lung Association will be held July 28 from 1-4 p.m. at Gravelly Brook Park, Matawan.
There will be two games: one open to the public, and a more competitive game. The fundraiser was started by Matthew Schoffel and his family in honor of his mother Linda who lost her life to lung cancer in 2001. It will also feature a barbecue and raffles. There is no charge to play or watch, but it is requested that a donation be made. All proceeds benefit the American Lung Association.
