| NEW BRUNSWICK - An Aberdeen man has been charged with committing lewd acts in Lake Como, North Brunswick and South Brunswick.
Mathew Kaduthodil, 39, of Church Street, was arrested on June 10 in Lake Como, where at approximately 11 p.m., he exposed himself to a female undercover officer working with surveillance teams, according to a press release from the Middlesex County Prosecu-tor's Office. A joint investigation was begun in June by the North, South and East Brunswick police departments and the Middlesex County Prosecutor's Office Sex Crimes Unit because numerous lewd acts had been reported in the towns during May. Female occupants of various townhouses in the area claimed an unknown male was peering into their windows between 9:30 p.m. and 11:30 p.m.
Based on the statements of the victims and information gathered during the investigation, Lake Como, North and South Brunswicks were able to press other charges against him as well, according to the press release. On July 19, the South Brunswick Police Department charged Kaduthodil with three counts each of peering and lewdness for incidents that occurred on Cedar Court on May 2, Shadow Oaks Court on May 16 and Buttonwood Court on May 20. On July 25, the North Brunswick Police Department charged him with five counts each of peering and lewdness for incidents that occurred on Goodwin Drive on May 8, Willowbrook Drive on May 23, Constitution Circle on May 23, Marc Drive on May 26 and Plymouth Road on May 29. He was also charged in connection with several other similar lewd acts previously reported to the Lake Como and Belmar police.
Kaduthodil is being housed at the Monmouth County Correction Center, Freehold, with a bail of $65,000 with no 10 percent option on the exposure charges. Total bail on the additional Middlesex County charges has been set at $12,500 with no 10 percent option.
