Blood drives slated in local area during August Central Jersey Blood Center, Shrewsbury, has announced the following local blood drives: • Aug. 5 from 8:30 a.m. to noon at St. Benedict's Roman Catholic Church, 165 Bethany Road, Holmdel. Free T-shirts for each donor. • Aug. 8 from 3-8 p.m. at Keyport First Aid Squad, 1927 Atlantic Ave. Free T-shirt for each donor. • Aug. 9 from 5-8:30 p.m. at King of Kings Lutheran Church, 250 Harmony Road, Middletown. Free T-shirt for each donor. • Aug. 14 from 1:30-4 p.m. at Prime Financial Group, 565 Route 35 north, Middletown. The donation process takes about an hour. Donors must also complete a medical history interview and have a mini-physical (temperature, iron, pulse and blood pressure screening). Interested donors must be at least 17 years old, weigh at least 120 pounds and be in good health. All donors must present signature ID at time of registration.
