MIDDLETOWN - The members of the High School South Eagles Hall of Fame are proud to announce that they have voted on their third group of inductees to enter the Eagles Hall of Fame.

The class of 2007, which consists of eight superior student-athletes and two teams, will be honored at a banquet and induction ceremony scheduled for Friday, Sept. 28.

The Eagles Hall of Fame class of 2007 are:

Frank Bennett (1997) - basketball and football

Tara Christie Kinsey (1993) - softball

Darren Fenster (1996) - baseball

Tara Froehlich (2001) - track, soccer

David Harrington (1979) - basketball

Joe Little (1993) - football

Katie Pachuta (2001) - track

Scott Walters (1987) - wrestling

1996 baseball team

1998 girls cross country team

"We are very excited about this year's class of inductees. They represent some of the most accomplished student-athletes that have donned the blue and silver of the Middletown South Eagles. All of the eight inductees have earned First Team All-State, All-Shore or All-County recognition in their sport and a few have earned All-American recognition. In addition, we are excited to honor the 1996 baseball team, which was South's most accomplished baseball team having won both the state and Shore Conference championships in 1996, as well as the 1998 girls cross country team, which was ranked 20th in the nation in 1998," said Andrea Ashuck Mrusek, Hall of Fame president and 2005 inductee.

The third annual Eagles Hall of Fame Banquet and Induction Ceremony is scheduled for 4 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 28, at the Middletown High School South in The Commons. The event will exemplify true Eagles spirit and will feature dinner, a formal induction ceremony, athlete speeches, awards presentations, a highlight DVD, music and more. Afterward, a short ceremony will be held to formally recognize the class of 2007 during halftime of the Eagles Hall of Fame football game, where the state champion Eagles will take on Wall.

The public is welcomed to join in the celebration and can get additional information by visiting the Web site at www.eagleshalloffame.org or by contacting Andrea Ashuck Mrusek at amrusek@conventures.com.
